I love your videos. I’ll be 65 and thinking about doing it 2023 in August. Both of you really inspire me. A lot of videos make it look like people are not having a good time. But you guys make it look like fun. Thank you

Totally enjoyed these videos so far! I think you are lucky to have an energetic hiking partner as Dylan. The two of you work well. The intensity in which Dyana explains how she is teaching “you” to chill, is amusing. However I realized this vid was going to be good when from the start, there was the bees!!!! 👍 👍

It's some sort of Hellgrammite, the aquatic stage of a large fly. Good insects really in that they use those pinchers to catch and eat mosquito larva.

I recognize that curious creature as a giant water bug! A type of Lethocerus. I've seen one of these at another high altitude and seasonal lake when I was camping near Mt. Shasta. They can sometimes prey upon frog, tadpoles and fish! Cool and a little bit creepy! (would not be too keen about having my tootsies near one of these! yikes!) Check out this cool article about them from Nat Geo: www.nationalgeographic.com/animals/2019/04/giant-water-bugs-ducklings-snakes-predators/

If Dyana is correct that you are hard trail driver, then you might want to look for employment with some of the big ranches that are still doing cattle drives. it would be a win, win ,win win win arrangement. You would still continue to hike and you would be able to drive the equivalent of 1000+ Dyanas (cows) and it would be a paying job and you would be able to film it all for KZbin. The last "win" would be having plenty of beef jerky in your pockets instead of some time forgotten piece of fruit. Disclaimer: Dyana is not a cow, that is unless, you didn't really view her as one did you?
