I would fill it a little more with water. That for sure will make it heavier. And I don't recommend practice on it without hand protection. It is an essential tool for any (home) gym.

Hi, It is also possible to not fill it with water, just 1/3 or 1/4 so that it is less hard on the hands and less heavy. That's what I did because you get hurt quickly without a glove.

Hey Ramzi, did you hang this from the ceiling? I imagine that it’s quite heavy. Do you have any tips for hanging it?
@ramzi_nabulsi

Yes it's hanging from the ceiling. I attached a ring straight into the beam. Best place is outside on an independent pole if you can because the vibration can be annoying for everyone else.

There is a Much better way, that got me Masterclass level results: Take a Canvas wall bag, and fill it with about 15 lbs worth of Steel BBs. I accidentally found that it worked best, hung at a 45 degree angle. At its thickest center diameter, mine is about 7". Its hung by a metal chain, and a locking clip, so that I can adjust the height for different peoples heights. You start out from 12 inches away... and use a Bare-Fist Vertical Fist punch. If you do not get your timing correct... the bag will swing far away from you, and will feel and sound "Gushy". If you hit it with Proper Fajin... it will feel like you just hit a SOLID IRON GIRDER. Your fist will likely turn Red, and will Sting from the pain.. and the bag will have barely moved at all. How it works? The BBs act like a Fluid... as they can move as your fist is penetrating the bag. They tend to move with.. and around your fist. HOWEVER... being that Fajin is released in less than a 16th of a second time-unit... the BBs dont have time to move away... and being that there is SO much energy in such a small time unit... the BBs end up acting like a SOLID, as they explosively transfer energy from one bb to the next. Because there is like 15 to 20 lbs worth of them (I think it cost me a little over $100 to fill it), means that you get a very Realistic Impact... that is very similar to hitting someone in the Forehead (my favorite target). Unlike other bags that Bounce when you hit them with a good deal of push force... the BB bag will dissolve / absorb a lot of the impact forces, so it wont move that far away from you... and since its pretty heavy... it will return to center pretty quickly and easily. At first, I think it took me like +50 tries, to get a single Fajin reaction, from 12 inches. However, over the course of a long period of daily practice... I was able to get a flawless Fajin expression, every single time. At that point.. I started practicing from 8 inches. Each inch closer, makes it much more difficult to get the required explosive acceleration, and the precision timing becomes even harder to execute at precisely. Eventually I got down to a single inch... and was able to get flawless Fajin expression... every single time. At that point... I had L3thal levels of Fajin, from less than 2 inches of runway. As for training Bare Handed... Here is the real deal... One of my former teachers told me to hit this old heavy bag, bare-fisted, for the entire duration of the class. The bag was well beat up, to the point where a lot of the plastic was missing, and there was a lot of curled plastic... with very sharp edges. And in the spots where missing plastic was... you could see the Canvas fibers. Hitting the bag for about 10 minutes, was enough to rip of most of the skin on my fists. Not long after, and I was actually getting blood on the bag. I went to the teacher, and asked him if I should stop. He said no... keep going, and not to worry about the blood. So I did. By the end of a 1 hour long session... my fists were a gooey, and bloody mess. I had a day off the next day... but my fist were still a mess, when I went to class the day after. My Sifu told me to hit the bag again. I went to hit it... but after only 60 seconds, my already raw skin... was a gooey and bloody mess again. I showed the teacher... and he told me, not to worry about it. He said... that if I kept at this... in about 2 to 3 weeks time... that the skin would turn much harder, and would no longer tear off. I was doubtful... and it seemed a bit wrong... but I decided to trust his words, and see what would happen. It was a painful process... But... just like he said, after the 3rd week.. my knuckles skin was much denser, rougher, and harder... and even after hitting the bag for a full hour, the skin no longer Tore off. Now.. if you Baby your fist.. by never allowing them to get severely cut and scuffed up... then it might take many months to attain the same level of results. In fact, if you dont push hard enough at all... you might never develop that kind of tough protective skin. Now... when I do sandbag hitting session... I always use Chinese Dit Da Jow lineament. However, according to the application instructions.. you are not supposed to apply Jow to open skin wounds. So... once your skin is an open wound wreck... you will just have to wait to apply the jow again... once your skin is healed up and dry. Once your skin has been properly conditioned, then you will have no issues... so you can apply Jow both before and After your hitting sessions (which should be at least 20 to 30 minutes... but I often went up to an entire hour, with Four 15 minute sets... and less then 3 min rest between each set). I use the wall mounted Sandbags, packed as full and tightly as possible... with coarse grain beach sand (never use fine play-sand from hardware stores. It creates fine dust clouds, that when breathed in, can cause Cancer... later in life)... for typical Impact conditioning. I use the Iron Bag (BB bag), specifically for Fajin training. Of course, its also good for impact conditioning as well... just that its not as efficient, since its free-hanging rather than the Static sandbags. Also, since the sandbags dont move.. it challenges your entire structure, from Fist to the Floor.. in a way that nothing else can replicate.

Thanks for sharing John. Have you tried the aqua bag?
@johndough8115

@@ramzi_nabulsi I have not specifically tried the Aqua Bag. I did once try filling a balloon about a quarter of the way full.. and punching it... to see what would happen... I also once tried a filling a boxers Speed-Bag up with BBs... and the thickness of the material, coupled with the different surface type.. didnt provide the same action and conditioning, as the Canvas BB bag. I feel that thick rubberized plastic surface of the Boey, will be more prone to a similar effect... where its material thickness will not conform well enough to the shapes of each knuckles... as well as creating a surface that is a bit more Absorbent or "Bouncy". On a similar note... I noticed that Sandbags that were not packed fairly Tightly (full to the Brim)... had a reduced impact effect, where the impact wasnt as Solid / Tough... because the sand could move too much, allowing a lot of the impact forces to escape (that would otherwise be rebounded back into your body). I realized that by mounting the BB Bag at a 45 degree angle, it created a unique method to help keep the forces with the bag, as being more "Concentrated". Why? Because the funnel shape, helps force the BBs together... and makes it harder for them to easily seperate, as your fist dives into them. They cant easily move away / escape... much like how an under-filled sandbag often reacts. One thing that might Favor the Boey, is its size and weight, when full of water. I dont know how comparable it is, to the BB bag... which is quite heavy and dense, As Is. The heavier, the better. My journey to Fajin mastery... Started with Wing Chun, which when trained properly, actually has a lot of Tai Chi technology within it. Wing Chun teaches the basics of how internal power functions... but... very few WC practitioners ever develop any real power, from less than 12 inches of runway. That initially included myself. I had heard many stories about insane short range power, including effects felt by people that took a short range hit from Bruce Lee. I had already bought all of his books... and within them, there were some hints on how he trained his short power. One of these was a Coffee can, that was filled with sand or rocks. You placed it on one side of a long table, and inch punched it.. to see how far you could get it to slide. I tried this method a few times... but I didnt want to Scratch up the table, as it wasnt mine. I also wasnt the biggest fan of hitting that specific rounded metal Surface. At the place I used to work.. I had a large metal safe, that was mounted at the perfect punching height. I believe the thick metal door on it, was about 1.5 x 1.5 ft. There was no Flex in the door at all. Thick, and well built. I would open the safes door to be at a 90 degree angle, stand in front of it, then Inch Punch it closed, as fast and hard as possible... to cause the door to Slam shut as fast and violently, as possible. I used to train on this frequently... but, because you had to keep re-setting it, it wasnt the most Optimal target to hit. The door moved fairly easily, despite having a decent amount of mass to it. Not long after... I began to think of better ways to train my Inch power, at home. One of my original ideas, was to make my own version of the Safe Door.. using a weighted wooden door, hung on Hinges. You would attach a weight lifting disc on the rear of it. Initially I considered the hinges to be on the side... but now that I think about it today.. it would likely be best to put the hinges at the top.. so that it always returned to center, without any need for bungee cord / springs / manual resetting. Somewhere in all of this, I saw a small 4 x 4 inch BB bag, that was sold at the local martial arts shop. It was for Karate training, and I believe it was called a "KIME" bag (I think it was mounted at an angle too, but I cant recall). I thought it looked interesting... but, it was fairly small, and it didnt come with any BBs either. As such, I decided to get the larger canvas wallbags, that they sold.. and I went and bought a ton of metal BBs. I knew it was going to be expensive to fill this bag up to any meaningful level... but I didnt realize just how expensive it would end up being.. as those wall bags have a LOT of capacity. Most of these sandbags use these Brass rivots... and it doesnt take too much weight and movement... for the rivots to break free of the canvas, and start to tear the canvas bag a little bit. You have to be very careful when mounting them... to help prevent this from happening. Because I wasnt careful, and didnt use all of the Rivots for best support.. I had them start to break free of the canvas. As such, I decided to run a rope through several of the remaining rivots, and it caused the thing to angle at 45 degrees. (this could be bad memory... as I might have just resorted to angling the bag, replicating the Kime bag mounting. And or.. I might have done this, to initially reduce the needed amount of required BBs. I might have tested the bag in a squared mount, and found it wasnt full enough for a solid impact... so angled it. Either way... I eventually got there...) The very moment that I tested it out... I instantly knew that I had achieved success. It was much better than hitting the safe, due to how the BBs conformed to the shape of my fist / knuckles. It was also felt heavier than that metal safe door... but this may have been due to the Hinges making it easier to move the door. Of course, that safe door might have used a thinner metal backing, with a largely Hollow center core, too. I dont know how it was constructed, internally. It took me about 30 consecutive days, of nightly 1 hour sessions, to reach Masterclass level (Lethal) fajin expression, at a single Inch of travel. Of course, that doesnt count any of my previous training, from the standard WC punch... to the safe and can hitting, and other martial training efforts (including bare fist wallbag sessions, bare knuckle pushups, and more).

For the aqua bag and sand bags - how do you know when the short jin is adequately projected? With a training partner is obvious because they have a nervous system.
@johndough8115
@johndough8115 8 ай бұрын
@@jamesm5192 For the BBs bag.. when you hit it like a Normal punch... it feels soft and gushy.. and swings very far away from your fist. When you hit it with Proper Fajin.. the bag barely moves.. and it feels like your fist ran into a solid brick of Steel. Your fist will sting in pain, and might even turn bright red, depending on your level of conditioning. The nervous system has little to nothing to do with Fajin effects. Fajin at its highest potentials, caused internal organs (or blood carrying vessels) to Rupture. Of course, you can control the amount of Fajin power output, to a certain degree (Its difficult to keep that much power, under very precise control). And you can do things like cause Immense Tissue inflammation... which if done too harsh, can cause bloodflow circulation issues. This is what true "Dim Mak" is. Its the targeting of specific blood carrying areas.. or in some cases, nerve bundles, to create specific effects.. using a Fajin powered Finger Strike to that specific Point, or multiple points that are consecutively struck in rapidfire succession. Of course, unless you are pure Evil, or are Forced to use this in actual combat... you are never going to test these things, at this level of potentials. For me, I merely used it for easy KOs, via a short range vertical fist to the OPs foreheads. I typically only did this, to fighters that were being openly disrespectful... and or, were being Extremely aggressive / too heavy in power output levels. I once used it at about 10% levels, with a Forearm deflection... and it almost shattered an MMA fighters arm bone, near the wrist bone area. He stopped fighting, and was grasping his wrist bone area. Before the end of the hour, the injured area swelled up nearly double in diameter, and he was in severe pains, for many days to follow. As far as Nervous system effects goes... Ive had two different events, where that happened... One time I was sparring with a much larger fighter. We were having a session, where we previously agreed not to use kicks... to specifically test handskills. However, at one point in the match... we were almost nose to nose.. and I jokingly.. and very lightly, circled my knee to an upper outside spot on his Thigh. I swear, it was like 2%.. without any Fajin tensing at all. He dropped to the floor in agony. At first, I thought he was joking with me. But he was serious, and said that it was like a very bad Charlie Horse / Cramp. I believe I had unintentionally performed with whole body power, like how is taught in Tai Chi training... which cased the impact to be a bit more stronger than expected. That said, hitting the specific points / nerves... was likely the biggest reason for such an effective collapse. The next time, was a bit more interesting. I had been conditioning my toes, to use for Stabbing Kicks. Both on the heavy bag, as well on the low hung sand bags (both with bare feet)... One day I was at a Kyokushin Karate school, for an open sparring event. When I went to spar the instructor... I noticed that his leading inner thigh was wide open.. and was a perfect target.. so I shot out a Toe-Stabbing kick to his inner thigh muscle. He dropped a bit, and was temporarily unable to move. As such, I stepped in with a flurry of rapidfire handstrikes, to which he ended up eating. He stopped sparring, and asked me what the Heck technique I used, and what it was called. He said that he had never, seen nor felt anything like that.. and he was seriously impressed. He said, that it was sort of paralyzing.. and he was unable to move for a bit. Of course, that kick was fully Intentional, with a tiny bit of Fajin on it.
