I used this video as inspiration. Now 8 months later I'm watching it again to motivate myself to finally fill the other 7/8ths of the bag. I bought a 100 lb Everlast heavy bag last July because it was on sale for only $105 at Big Five making it the only heavy bag above 80 pounds I could actually afford at the time. The problem I am having with it now is that the lower half is way stiffer than the top half. I believe it is filled with a mixture of textile like fillings and sand, so the sand falls over time as my bag hangs. So here is my question, do you think I could open it up at the top and remove some of the sand (but not all) and replace it with an equivalent amount of old clothes shreds or do you think I would mess it up since it is a prefilled bag?
@Combatcorner3 жыл бұрын
Hey Spencer, Awesome question! If there is a zipper or an opening on the bag you can try to take out some of this material and refill. Sometimes with other brands they tend to fill heavy bags with sand bags and not so much loose sand. If there isn't an opening this may effect how the bag sits after the new material is in.

This is why I am so wary of Everlast bags now. Last one was garbage.

@@Combatcorner I spent a few hours yesterday removing the little peices of old clothes from my 100 lb Everlast heavy bag so I could get to the sand bags towards the bottom. I did eventually get to the sand bags and removed all of them, then weighed them, they collectively weighed almost 40 lbs which is much more than they looked like they did to me. This is my new problem though, I was not able to fit all of the old clothes bits I removed back into it before zipping it back up. Do you have any suggestions for how to pack the clothes bits in tighter so I can fit more in it? I don't want a 70 lb heavy bag!
