From a total beginner's perspective, I can't learn the motions when an instructor is facing me. Right becomes left for me visually and I get frustrated. I'd give absolutely anything in the world to be able to learn tai chi, but I can't follow once the instructor turns around and it's no longer from the back.

Evergreen taichi 2000 has the mirror side from instructor, you just move to the left as usual.. good luck.

I have the same problem! It is very frustrating and the instructor keeps moving me to the front so I can't watch the more experienced students in front of me. I've told her I can't get it like that and she does turn around now at times, but if she'd let me stay at the back I'd make a lot more progress. That's where videos help.
