I'm delighted to see that the scene he's commenting on was my favorite in the movie. The conversation in the elevator was so good. I've heard people complain that the movie was too jokey and refused to have any earnest emotions, but I totally disagree mostly on the grounds of the elevator scene. It felt like such a natural outgrowth of their characters across three movies. The greatest thing about Loki is that his motivations are always super clear. He wants fame, he wants to be loved, and he wants to take the most needlessly underhanded route to get there. When he shows up at Asgard in the third act, the only possible response is "Oh, naturally."

85 days is a pretty long length you know... The majority of movies are filmed within a month.

I watch the other Marvel directors for Ant-Man and the Wasp and Infinity War with the Russo Brothers. I loved how they explain in such great detail about the backdrops and the prop settings, and then you see Taika here at 1:49 outlining Chris’s muscles being impressed.

And they say that this is just a comedy? They managed to pull off the most emotional Thor-Loki scene among all Thor films with added humor.

Kryptonite I’d say it’s in the top 10 or 5 for 2017 though. At least it wasn’t a monstrosity like Star Wars:TLJ.
@360.Tapestry6 жыл бұрын
hm. it might make it, but top 10 is still fairly competitive. it's definitely among the best - certainly very entertaining. i didn't hate the last jedi, but it definitely ranks much lower than ragnarok. it made a lot of money, but it probably wasn't anyone's favorite anything

I love how the title calls this a fight scene when in actuality it's an emotional conversation in an elevator and then Thor throwing Loki at a bunch of nameless goons.

I remember watching a movie called "The Hunt for the Wilderpeople" on Redbox and it was AMAZING!! Two years later, I watched Thor: Ragnarok and was impressed with Taika, so I looked up what other movies he did... Let's just say that I was pleasantly surprised, and watched "Wilderpeople", recalling all the best parts, even though it's been two years since I've watched it.😊😊
