Would it be historically accurate to make a fan from unpainted bronze turkey feathers, or would this only be made using eagle feathers? Thank you so much for your videos! I've found myself referring to them as I complete projects and recommending them to friends.

Hey, thanks for watching! There are many ways of making a fan, this is the method I use. Another popular method used today is with Bondo. Another way would be to use the whole tail of the bird and wrap leather around the bone covering about three inches of the feather quills and sewing it together.

Hello thanks for watching! I don't think you can use this handle with out glue. You could use another glue, it does not need to be hot glue. Our wing fan can be done without glue. You need to be indigenous and enrolled into a federally recognized tribe to possess eagle feathers in the states, the law is a lil bit less strict in Canada, I’m indigenous and a status card carrier so I can and do have a eagle tail fan, plus I dance at pow wows
