My mom is single too. She is an immigrant from Mexico. Growing up, she used to talk so much shit about Men. The independent stuff and boss babe stuff. Today, she is 70 years old and is all alone. I married and made my life. She lives by herself barely scraping by, and she tells me how she regrets not marrying. It’s one thing saying I will be single when you have your youth. When you are old and sitting in an apartment alone until the holidays come around is a different type of realization.

I never get any real answers from either of them. What I’ve learned is they are both insane and they are both totally miserable morons and we suffered from adults who couldn’t be responsible or decent human beings and no, no one was a drunk, and no one was on drugs. And people wonder why in the world of online dating, more people are single! Especially women! Because they see unlimited perceived options!

I acutally think it is online dating. My friend literally spam the same thing to all girls, literally all girls, even the old and ugly ones to get more responses. These women think they have a lot of choices when their inbox is literally filled with spam, but most of these men arent acutally interested. My friend went on two dates and said the girls are not as pretty as their pictures. He deleted the app because he met some crappy women on it. He literally told his friend to call him to get him out of the date. I also went on a date with a girl and she isnt pretty. I can feel she think she has more option than she does. She actually broke it off which is okay. I wasnt in to her too. I'm married with a kid and she is still online dating in her late 30s.

I think more people need to realize that having a lasting relationship means finding somebody who may not be the most perfect person you've ever met, but they're someone who shows you that they can work with you to build a beautiful relationship. It's not about finding "the one", but about realizing that they can be if you give them time. It doesn't mean you have to settle for mediocre and hope that they turn out right for you, you should still look for red flags and know that when the other person stops working on your relationship then you need to reevaluate and/or call it quits too. Just remember, when it comes to problems in your relationship it's not you vs your partner, it's you and your partner versus the problem.

This whole "wrong person" trope has got people, especially young women, convinced that if the person they are with isn't perfect, according to their standards, then they are the "wrong person". There definitely are many cases of people just not working well together. And that's understandable. But now it seems to me that these people just don't want to actually try and get closer, more real. An unwillinglyness to put in some work. The honeymoon phase of the relationship ends, life gets real, and they bail.

In many businesses and fields they will often refer to this as paralysis by analysis. When you have too many options and choices you will fail to make any choice because you’re too concerned with making the wrong choice. It has fully manifested itself in the dating habits of both men and women resulting in the ultra chads/tyrones and the hoeflated women. The greatest strength of humans, is making a choice and finding the joys in that choice whatever it is instead of looking at the potential joys in a choice you didn’t make.

My dad's over one day and I pull up and he's been talking to the neighbor and they ambush me about "what would you sell this for?" It wasn't hurting anybody, just sitting in the driveway. But I gave it up. The neighbors dad took it, fixed it, now every so often I see it parked over there and get sad.

So anyhoo, even if 50% are together. That doesn't mean those 50% are even close to rock solid as relationships. I dont believe a lot of people realize or care or think of another person. And any level and dont care.... I hate finding shit like this video. Not because of the information. But it helps me understand how i may be fucked. Single women are happier bc they still have dudes around them so they get the benefits of being single while still recieving affection from the opposite sex…. Everyone wants to be their own person, but still feel loved…and the only group of people who experience that are single woman…bc woman are shown love regardless, men aren’t. And a married woman isn’t free like a single woman even though she has the same “feeling” of love as a single woman gets. So no duh a single woman is happier, they get both sides of the coin without the consequences

Then why do women always jump from relationship to relationship if they are so happy? I feel bad for some of you if you think your truly happier single because that means you’ve never experienced a healthy true love.

@blueberrypancakes4380 anecdotal evidence yes from my life experience. I have never personally seen a woman younger then forty leave a relationship to not immediately start dating and hooking up again. It’s kind of sad really, yes some men do it too but it is just easier for women so I think that is a large part of the reason.

This goes for both men and women. Some people are just never satisfied then get mad when they are single or only get hookups. No one wants someone they don’t feel safe with

Never settle, even if it means you stay single and happy, never settle for someone who isn’t what you want. That goes for all people. No onward should settle for someone they don’t want to truly be with just to not be alone.

Settling is only not being able to recognise the two aspects that matters most, attraction and good character, everything else can be worked on but people want ready made everything when they aint shit, if ur not willing to give u don't deserve to get. They focusing on bullshit and confused why they feel the other gender ain't shit, theyre just shit choosers.

Staying single inevitably will mean ur lack happiness. Saying staying single an happy shows u have the wrong mindset. Maybe u have unrealistic expectations. “Nothing sadder than an outside cat that thinks it’s an inside one” Keep preaching that shit tho an spread that unhappiness of being lonely…bc misery loves company . And if less people r in relationships than u look more normal being all alone. It’s natural to pair up, stop spreading that BS because u r incapable or choose not to

@@andyguido7771 no you can look it up, being able to be alone and happy shows a lack of need for outside validation. If you prioritize relationships over everything its because you feel a void within youself that you want someone else to fill.

This is more true for men than women. Women tend to have active intimate social circles that allow them to maintain good mental health and avoid loneliness even when single. Men tend to only open up and emotionally supported by the women in their lives (mom and wife pretty much). Nobody wants to grow old without a partner but even worse than that is growing old with a partner you don't really want.

Nah we all have endless options in life and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. It's only the people who are insecure with their own lives, with minimal options, that try to make you choose. Insecure people think being single is crazy. Confident people are ok with it. What makes you think I have to choose something or someone I'm not satisfied with?

I think he’s really only expressing that, time is a factor. It may not be for you, but for most it is. A woman maybe have endless options but her fertility isn’t endless. & past the point of fertility, she’s automatically limited those options. No one has to settle. Time stops for no one though.

@@candycolriv but again, that mindset is from someone with not alot of confidence. "Oh lemme hurry up and find someone because my clock is running out" confident people with options don't think like that, nor could they care less if they end up alone. And men are in this as well, and for me, I've dated a lot in my years, don't want kids, and would be perfectly fine with not finding a wife before I died. We don't listen to the masses who are peer pressuring us into finding love because their weak minds can't live without it. No offense.

@@thechampb12345 no offense taken. I don’t care lol I’m just saying …. That’s part of life. Time. Some people want to be with someone, so they have to consider that. & of course there’s people who don’t want kids… but a lot do. Which is why I said, you limit your options to those who don’t want kids, if you wait too long. Doesn’t mean you settle. Just means you have to be dating with a purpose. If that’s what you want.

@@candycolriv but it's not what alot of people want. That's my point. So for him or anybody to act like you're less of a person just because you don't stick with one guy or girl is ridiculous. To each their own, but to him I would say don't try to force your ways of life onto people who don't see it from your point of view. It doesn't make you better or them worse. You don't have to date with a purpose, no matter the reason, that's your choice to make. Because what you view as a wasted life, may not be that for other people
