Redwall can be pretty brutal.. all the killing and shit talking of the rats, Mariel thrown off the cliff while her dad held in a dungeon, slavery, etc..

I'm surprised Splat didn't clock on that everyone in the castle is Rat Splat's (Splatterrat) brother because they are all Children of the rat queen and rat king. Of which the MC (Splat's rat) is the smallest and least likely to be a hero, let alone useful

Idk how easy it is to mix and match the cute fairy tale appearance with a roughless and demanding combat system but they sure make it look easy. I love how fast the animations are. Makes it feel more visceral and the pauses in between make the game feel tactical. Very well done. Best of both worlds I'd say.

I've never played souls games because I don't have the time or the patience to run, rerun, rerun, rerun, add infinite nauseam. This game looks great, fun and the saves appear to be in fair spots. As an added bonus if my kids walk behind me it wont give them nightmares for years. I'm certainly going to give this one a go!

If it makes you feel any better SplatterCat, being 5.7 is an ideal height in today's warfare. Being closer to the ground helps you not get shot. You also won't draw as much fire and you can probably hide in places other people can't. Being tall is good for sports, not so much for fighting anymore.

With my squire the broken slide whistle I will defeat my brother Denis, 'the mountain' to inherit the throne from my father the dying seal. This game does look nice though visually and theme wise if I had the cash I would get it. Tip: Your charge attack is likely to break the enemy's blocks.

Jacques's Redwall meets Homer's Βατραχομυομαχία, even if with rats in place of mice and toads instead of frogs. The Crimson Keep sounds a lot like Redwall Abbey, but I like homages of this sort.

to anyone wanting to get this game, be aware that there are 3 control layouts to chose from with no option to rebind... my only major issue with the game is inconsistent hitboxes with boss enemies later in the game (you will get true combo'd to death, or it will show up as a red attack but be literally undodgable) everything else is wonderful, i just wish they would fix those 2 things
