I hope your doing better and great job Sonic for taking care of him! 💙🧡💖 Tails let me tell you something babe when I was little I always used to get very sick and I had to take some of the worst tasting medicine to help it. There was one medicine that not only had a strong taste but it also had little bits of solid medicine in there that I hated! And there was another medicine that was a reddish orange colour and it had a bad taste too and each time my mom tried to give it to me I did everything I could to reject it but I gave in eventually and just took it but that’s all over with now and hopefully I don’t go through something like that again. I’m glad you’re ok! 😘🥰😊 Sonic I know you’re not very patient but forcing the spoon on Tails it just makes it worse but here’s how I’d do it and take the spoon, present it to him and say “Tails you take a second and when ready it’s right here!” Because when it comes to stuff like this I’m very patient even though sometimes I get impatient with other things I just try to stop that feeling because being impatient is not me! You’re a great big brother to Tails and a great caretaker for him too! I love you guys! 🫶🏻👍🏻

Let’s put into perspective something: sure the age of Sonic is technically 9 as Tails is 2 here, due to the canon defaulting their ages to 15 and 8 respectively, and how the age gap works out. However, the MATURITY of these two are much older than the ages humans would associate. I’ve felt like all the Sonic media depicts them as more capable than humans at those ages. Hence, why I believe in terms of maturity here, Sonic is more older teen, and Tails is more like a 6 year old. They behave like older in other words.

That sometimes just comes with the territory of fiction. We don't normally question those details too much, such as how much Muriel spoke at 3 1/2 years old in Courage the Cowardly Dog. Besides, I like to think of how Tails behaves in my animations generally, with him being able to speak quite well and all, as an early sign of his intelligence. And Sonic, well he just cares about Tails so much, and has had to manage on his own for so long, he's just kind of adapted. Those are my reasonings, at least.
