I love Cult as a brand and have since they started. With that being said you should get the best bang for your buck. Double wall rims for me is a must. I ride a cassette. So the answer for me is pretty clear. But I also add aftermarket stuff to all my bikes. I actually have the devotion frame but everything else is aftermarket and so far the frame is holding up. Just wish it came with a little more street geometry. At least a shorter chain stay.

I have the Sunday sound wave and not trying to start a fight but Sunday parts last longer and you pay a bit less because for cult you pay for that name just as much the quality

I also have the devtion and its kinda bad it not that light but it is a cheaper bike than the sound wave but I cracked my back rim and thats about it other than that it is a good beginners bike

Depends what country people are in, especially with the Covid bike shortages. Both good brands. But cassette v freecoaster depends on what each want. I prefer a flip-flop freewheel. Pegs are yes and no. Aftermarket pegs are good and cheap. Sunday do run a long axle on there bikes. But Cult look good. You can argue all day with Sunday, Cult, and Kink Riders. Only a few years ago Stolen was up and about

Any raw/translucent colors tend to either rust easier or get rust under the translucent paint.

I would say it wouldn’t sacrifice strength unless it’s really bad in the welds. And I mean really bad. Odds are unless you always left it wet or in the rain all the time, it would wear out because of your riding before the rust actually wore it out. Does that make sense?
