(1) Stage 1 Area 1 - Keith stays on balcony while Robert drops down (2) Stage 1 Area 2 - Keith fights men while Robert fights tank (3) Stage 1 Area 3 - Keith was behind Robert in the speedboat chase when chasing Jakov. (4) Stage 2 Area 1 - After dealing with the tank, Keith is behind a box while Robert was in front on the right side of Keith's point of view at the staircase. (5) Stage 2 Area 2 - When the 2nd train arrives, Keith stays on the 1st train they were in, thus there was some danger situation, while Robert has hopped onto the next train. (6) Stage 2 Area 3 - Robert is always the 1st main bait for Buff Bryant while Keith is just backing him up whenever his back is exposed until its Keith's turn. (7) Stage 3 - Not much difference until the cutscene that shows Robert saves Christy (Which is one thing his rashness saved her, but actually this action of his just extends her life only unfortunately)... :(

If you play 1 player solo, you need to meet requirements to go to the specific areas like shooting which orange soldier first (either the left or right), or probably some like Jakov's head and even bonus soldiers. But the actual route we are talking about for Keith & Robert respectively should be the 2 players co-op mode. So what I am referring to is the standard route if one follows according to the 2 players co-op like what "The Muay Thai Paramedic" was saying "2P co-op mode".

I personally think TC3 was the best game in the franchise. The plot is very straightforward and easy to understand, paired with its music. So many memories when I was a toddler. I actually found TC3 cabinet as little as 3 years ago from the local amusement park. It took me several quarters to beat the game, but I was determined to beat it.

I just watched the entirety of the 4th game and man, the quality is like a bloody brick wall and wet tissue, it might be nostalgia for the late 2000s but still. I don't like this game, the only thing I liked is the L/R pads but nothing else... they lowered the speed of the action and intensity down from previous games along with seemingly lower quality detail graphics and voice acting. I tried it out and in Time Crisis 1-4 you could shoot the handguns really friggin fast if you had a hyper trigger finger but in this one it has a set hard delay before you can fire again, not to mention that previously it felt like you were actually like some sort of super agent but in this one you just feel like a cheap Twilight Zone knockoff of the original protagonists. Edit; To clarify on the speed, intensity and handgun speed... in any other Time Crisis game I could instantly unload all of the bullets in a single stroke of about two or less seconds.

Go check out Trex arms for a highly trained gunman and you'll see how the change wasn't for realism. I honestly believe it was to incentivize the use of other weapons and making your shots count.

I think Wild Fang is dead for good this time. This is because in the last two games he was not killed by explosions. In Time Crisis 3, he was shot down by Alan Dunaway and Wesley Lambert while in Time Crisis 4, he hit by a UCAV after William Rush kicked him down. Here in this game, not only he is killed by explosion, he looked like he is actually dying and even said he's waiting on the other side which means that he is finally accept that he's gonna die. There is no way he is coming back in Time Crisis 6 (if there is one).

I can appreciate the gameplay, the graphics, and especially the music (there's plenty of throwback from the first few games). Hell the voice acting is like maybe 1 step above House of the Dead level of shit dialogue and horrible acting. It was awesome to see Robert and Keith make a return. What I cannot stand is just how horrible the designs are for the two main characters and Wild Dog. It's like Namco asked themselves "Can we make them look like even bigger douchebags?" while making Wild Dog act like some senile pissant. Wild Dog used to be great and something I always looked forward to seeing in every iteration of Time Crisis, and he never failed to look badass in each one. But in TC 5....what the hell?

Character design in this game is bad and questionable, you have Luke and Marc that they look so different that they don't look like partners, also their respective VSSE logos are different, not in an harmonic way since Luke's logo is a pirate like logo skeleton and Marc's logo based on the arcade cabinet that it shows in the design of the entire pedal you see an owl, VSSE agents tend to have different code names but Luke and Marc are so different that I don't see a connection. Luke and Marc hairstyles does not connect to their code names either unlike the previous agents who their hairstyles really fitted with the code names. Luke and Marc Handguns have the same color for some odd reason, unlike the previous games when the blonde always gets the two tone color handgun but in here they both share the same colors and also their handguns don't have a flashlight, so not only these agents don't look like agents but their handguns don't have the attachment that makes them look like an observer, like some sort of authority, heck even Keith and Robert does not have flashlights. Wild Dog design is terrible, is not his clothes, it's the color but at the same time it makes sense why they made him look like that since his moment of boss fight was pretty underwhelming. Robert's new hairstyle has changed and still looking like his code name the griffon but also that hairstyle is the one that Wild Dog had in the concept art of Time Crisis 2. you can see it here vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/timecrisispedia/images/9/9a/Doglp.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20160121125716 so not only his hairstyle has harmony to his code name. Was this an indication that he was going to become a villain? Also Robert wearing sunglasses actually makes sense when he reveals himself as a traitor. Keith design is really great despite the katana being there suddenly which I don't recall the VSSE specializing in melee weapons but that is great to see. Why does Catherine Ricci has the same VSSE code name logo from Luke? I can understand the typeface but if this is the case then what are their code names? Is Catherine and Luke related or that is a hint of that? We all know they are related but having the same logo with that pirate looking like design is kinda weird. Love how in this game they finally showcased Keith and Robert abilities, by abilities I mean that according to the instructions manual Keith is an expert on explosives and we can finally see him throwing grenades with great speed and smoke in a well timed moments while Robert is a master in piloting helicopters in this game they added a chopper section not only to continue time crisis 4 but also to showcase Robert's piloting maneuvering skills which is pretty satisfying to look at. Overall this game feels like Luke and Marc design where bad for a purpose to make Keith and Robert as the highlight of the story which they pretty much are in the entire game but at the same time they could make Luke and Marc look like actual VSSE agents and would still be effective. They finally added the switching cover mechanic in a really great way and actually they even let you jump very high in this game. The weapons are under powered but I guess they are under powered compared to the handgun because the handgun is the only VSSE weapon so maybe the briefcase also has the VSSE weapons data based on the fact that the Mech that Robert controlled is invulnerable by even the VSSE bullets, so it is possible that more bosses with that invulnerability might come in the future games if namco plans to make more games out of this series of course.

The ingame dialogue explains it briefly so it is easy to miss and the backstory about what happened before events of this game involving Robert and Keith explains a lot more. The VSSE has developed a drug that will give a Agent enhanced reflex that allows them to move in these speeds. SPOILERS after this point.... However, it was a disguise to cover up Robert's real plan to use this drug to remove all human's ability to feel emotions in the world. After years working in the VSSE and eventually working his way up to becoming the director of VSSE, Robert grew to become disillusioned by how the world was plagued by conflict the VSSE had to resolve to protect the world. Eventually he began to believe that to bring about true world peace and end conflict forever he has to remove all human's ability to feel emotions as the source of all these conflict and global threats has always been driven by human emotions. To cover up this plot Robert lead the development of two version of this drug being the version that give enhance reflexes to the user which is the publicly known version of the drug given to new VSSE agents and another version that will act as a virus that removes human emotions developed in secret to be weaponized so it can be used on the entire world. Robert framed Keith for a false crime when he discovered Keith was investigating this and as a result Keith went into hiding for years until Christy (now Keith's lover) manage to finally found proof of Robert's actions and plot. However, Robert was aware of Christy and Keith's plans thus sent in Wild Dog and his goons to successfully kill Christy this time and to obtain Christy's briefcase thus leading to the events of TC5.

Normally Wild Dog comes in Stage 3, Area 2 or something. Love how they just put him front and center this time around. Even though it really kills the intensity. Furthermore does anyone know if Time Crisis Razing Storm is canon or just a spin off? Must admit it's the only Time Crisis game that doesn't seem to have connection to the main series.

Nice work C: You nailed it hard Though on the topic of the game itself... Time Crisis 5 was... Okay. Compared to 3 it doesn't hold a candle. Though it does have a little more charm than 4 since it lacks really boring turret sections. Though the actual boss fights just don't feel as good. Sure there's a lot of crazy things going on but the serial escalation just didn't feel well executed. Not sure whether we'd get an extended home version or a sequel, but it is what it is: An Arcade shooter. You don't expect too much nowadays

It's a shame for what they did to Wild Dog in this Time Crisis. He went from a cool, badass villain to a comical goofball, you see in Saturday-morning cartoons. Since, Project Titan was the beginning of his downfall with his reputation. He was great in 1, 2, and 3. I don't think he wasn't so bad on the 4th one, but not as great as he was in the three of them

He was the protege and successor of Wild Dog, when he was first introduced in TC3. Now, he became nothing more than a terrible gun-slinging, power-mad 80's rock star wannabe 🙄
