I am a regular listener and follower of Taimore Rehman and a big admirer. While I highly appreciate this lecture my only addition would be to underline that Robert Owen's contributions in introducing cooperative business model (cooperative markets and banks etc) has had a significant and lasting effect till today with a deep societal impact. When I looked it up a few years ago while researching for cooperatives I figured out that 20% of the German economy was run in the cooperative model and a sizable portion of the housing sector across Europe was also based on cooperative democracies. While the more recent experiences in Pakistan have been disappointing, our earlier coop experiences of 50's and 60's were extremely good where our cooperatives (Model Town Housing Coop, Halla Dairy, cucyle industry coops) were working on the true cooperative principles. In India they still have great examples like Mumbai Grahak Manchayat, Amul dairy coop of Gujrat and many more like it. Coops are doing highly well in Philippines and Latin American countries.

Russia isn't a communist country anymore, it's a capitalist country. China is the same, but in a different way, it has elements of free market economy but with a lot of government interference unlike a liberal economy.
