Күн бұрын

Thriller starring Raquel Welch about two young orphan women who are involved in murder. Also starring Joan Van Arc, Allie Mills, Kerri Green and Natasha Wagner.
"This neat little thriller directed by Matthew Patrick makes a valiant effort to conceal the killer's identity and keep the level of interest high as one revelation after another sets the pendulum swinging between suspects." CINEFANTASTIQUE

@sunnyboy4553

Mrs Victor Agreed. The new ones are garbage. Wooden actresses more like department store mannequins who can't act, 99 cent scripts all on variations of the same theme, My psycho boyfriend/girlfriend/neighbor/teacher, etc. etc. PLUS they keep repeating these same episode pieces of shallow, cartoonish crap every weekend. I think the man who heads Lifetime is a misogynist who hates women and has a very shallow, limited, derogatory sense of what women viewers want to see. Whoever is in charge of the Lifetime network now is totally clueless and just running it into the ground. It must be on the verge of bankruptcy now because the weekend morning line-up is all televangelists, infomercials and weekday programming is all reruns of decades old series from other networks. Shame, because it used to be so good. Even if they would just run these older stories like this one, it would be watchable, even enjoyable again. I don't get how a national network can be so clueless.

The two girls were so amazing. The only cast member that I would have changed, would be Raquel. She's so beautiful and I have seen her in other films, but her character felt like a caricature. The movie was well directed, but the intensity of Natasha and Kerri's characters just didn't fit with the lighthearted performance by Raquel. I didn't feel one genuine emotion from her. Pathology can be highly genetic. However, most people want to believe it is prwdominantly due to poor parenting on the mother's part. I doubt there is a mother on earth who would know how to raise a child to be a happy, well-adjusted adult when there is severe pathology in her biological family - sometimes from generations back. I know from personal experience. Psychologists & psychiatrists think they have all the answers.

Lissa is the real twin but Tori was the one who killed Lissa's parents since she admitted it at 1:21:12 when Lissa asked, "Then why did you have to kill my parents?" and Tori answered "She (Mrs Drew) deserved it! She hurt you over and over... ". Lissa has that creepy smirk at the end of the movie because she was glad that she did not have to resort to killing her adopted parents like her twin brother Brian did since she managed to find another pyscho adoptee who was willing to do it for her sake.

If Tori was the murderer, then she wasn't the daughter of the crazy woman in the sanitarium, since the trail led to Lissa, not to Tori. And, if Tori was the murderer, why did she go bonkers when Raquel Welch wrestled the hatchet out of Lissa's hands -- why didn't she just pull the gun on Lissa? If Lissa set it all up, then how come Tori has the gun taken from the investigator, and how could Lissa be sure Tori would see the firs in time to save her, not to mention convince her parents to take in Lissa? There's contradictory evidence arguing against either girl being the patricidal maniac. In short, the plot is incoherent and has no consistent explanation.

Most chilling moment was when the young boy nearly lost his life 😮 Sadly abandoned children who had moved through foster care, may suffer seriously from attachment disorders. Had winessed in real life how biological children are harmed, with families torn apart as result. Especially harmful if children are fostered, while continuing to have contact with their biological parent/s in unsavoury environments.

I think you are right to a large extent, because the system does not really care about the children. They make up their own minds and take decisions based on their training and preconceived ideas. Social services do not recognise psychopatic manipulative narcisstic liars. They are commonly taken in by their gaslighting at the expense of the minor victims of the system and parents who originally married the abusers (because they were taken in by them enough to marry them and have a family with them). However, the extent of the cunning of people bearing these evil genes cannot be imagined, or over-estimated. Perhaps most of the children you fostered were innocent victims of poor parenting and social services so committed to administration that humanity was forgotten, but there are far more children born with a problem in their genetic makeup. No matter what you do to raise them, they will revert to their type. If they must make a choice between good and bad, they always choose bad, except where it suits their purposes. For that reason I would really think hard before adopting a child. You do not know what bad genes can be inherited.

She is Latina , her father was from Bolivia and she has great genetics, lots of natural collagen like most Latina's. She also takes good care of herself. Of course she had plastic surgery done, but so many women have it done and they don't look anything like her. She definitely knows when to stop. She is just beautiful!!

At 1:14:00 Social Services would NOT send a single male to collect a teenage girl! There would always be a female present. He just drives off with a girl in his car. Totally unacceptable and unbelievable.

Ok, I have been looking for a movie that was on lifetime…it’s been ages…but the story from what I remember is this rich guys wife dies somehow and this young woman gets her heart. At the end of the movie he and the younger girl get in a fight and she calls the cops and that’s how the film ends.

I bet this movie made some people rethink their decision to adopt and there truly are a lot of seriously messed up adoptees in real life but there are a lot of seriously messed up people who are NOT adoptees also. BTW, Joan Van Arc nailed the role of the mother who was a crying, pathetic, contemptible lush and there were some looks on the face of Natasha Wagner, the daughter of Natalie Wood, that sort of made my skin crawl. Great movie.

Good movie! Raquel Welch is rude. I was at the door of Saks 5th Avenue, I smiled at her and she pushed in front of me as she gave me a look of disdain. The majority of celebrities I have met are at least civil, but a couple are not nice people.

I loved her on Seinfeld when she would walk without moving her arms. Elaine was talking to a cop about a co-worker who was threatening her and said she did not move her arms. She showed the cops and Raquel (playing herself) saw her and thought Elaine was making fun of her and rolled her sleeve and started fighting Elaine.

So... the mom had 3 kids... which, it would seem from the old lady in the home, was some kind of cover up. Could the girls and the twin brother all be from the same mother unknowingly? Does that explain why both girls are psycho?... going with the "supposed genetic theory" ??? Still trying to make sense of the ending, and why lyssa had that creepy look in the end. After all, the reporter did not take time to investigate the where abouts of the 3rd child... any thoughts?

@Monica Pyle @ 20:33 yh i think i confused what the old lady was saying...she was speaking about 2 different women, gilmore and judith... but i thought she was speaking of the same person... leading me to think there was a third child.. ending still makes little sense to me... thanks for your thoughts
