Cool thing most people didn't know is back then she was dating Everlast. This is back before he was House of Pain. He was rolling in Ice-T's crew back then.

I loooove old school, and I never heard of her. I just read Dee Barnes article and she mentioned her so I had to go see who she was. I liked the Rakim part.

Madonna straight bit her style. This was Tairrie B's signature look. I used to see her at all the underground clubs in LA back in the day.

Yo, before this recent NWA rebirth, I'd completely forgotten about Tairrie B... and this song (and video) were my shit way back when. It's been almost 24 years since I last saw this, I think.

It sounds like D.O.C. wrote this for her but I could be wrong. It just sounds so much like his rhyme schemes / patterns. Regardless if he did or didn't though she straight up killed this!!! Dope!!!

Iggy Azalea could have taken a page from her. Tairrie B didn't model or do collabs with pop stars on her first album. She kept it about the music first and didn't forget what got her there or how she go thtere.

@blaknite1 I never did neither. We was listening to this in EAST OAKLAND which was mostly Black back in the day. Believe me she had some hood cred back then even though there was haters. I thought she had a rapid fire delivery and hard lyrics so didn't get the vitriol. It's good to know she found her niche in another genre, and Ke$ha and the white girl mob have her to thank for their success!
