Thats so impractical though, because all how closely guarded the airspace near critical regions is, and that the missile reach of Taiwan is only ~1000km with most being less than 200km. Plus Three Gorges dam is a gravity dam so it wouldn't unleash a flood, just collapsing on itself.

Wait da phuq would the Soviet like to incorporate China? Surely China would set on reunification by force but the ideological difference b/w the two socialist countries would make it impossible to incorporate each other. Furthermore, given the existence of autonomous SSR inside the Union, in such scenario Taiwan would rather be a said ASSR under Chinese SSR rather than a full SSR. (Mao proclaimed the communist-controlled area from 1931 to 1937 a Soviet republic)
