Final instalment to the Taipei series! This time we visit Jiufen and Shifen. For those who are looking up on how to get to these two places, a quick summary of my recommendation would be to get to RUIFANG STATION first, as that's the middle point to both Jiufen and Shifen.
From RUIFANG, head to Shifen first (as the bridge to the waterfall closes at about 4PM) and then spend the rest of the day at Jiufen. So your route should be :-
RUIFANG - SHIFEN STATION - SHIFEN WATERFALLS - SHIFEN STATION - RUIFANG - JIUFEN

I just got back from Taipei. I booked the transport from Klook to Yeliu Geopark, Jiufen and Shifen and it was really convenient. I also did not like the food in Taiwan as it was bland and oily like what you have said and very "jerlak" feel especially their beef noodles. I am glad I am not the only one who feel that way about it. Thanks for your video!

Hi, I noticed that Shifen is the opposite direction to Jioufen (start from Ruifang) right? If I'm travelling for daytrip from Taipei to Jioufen, do you think it is worth to visit Shifen?

It sucks to be sick during traveling. It takes all your energy and appetite away. Happen couple times during my younger days of traveling. A small life advice. You have the highest chance of getting sick during the airplane ride. In the US, we have vitamin C drink. 1600% strength. Basically, 16 days of Vitamin C in one drink. Take one before flying, get a good rest the night before, take one more when you land. i wont say its 100% bulletproof, but I never got sick during travel since.

Nice video, my sugestions if u r goin There With 3 Or 4 ppl better rent a private car not expensive already include THe driver So u can Spend much time, driver pick up u from THe hotel tO yang min shan mountain, teresa teng place, yeliu, jiufen shifen Water fall THen back tO hotel
