Do you think Taiwan's Covid-19 response was spectacular?
@macks5732 күн бұрын
No. They took advantage because they knew early and warned WHO, who refused to acknowledge as they're not the Communist government.

Absolutely! As a local, I am grateful for our government's good decisions and hard work. I couldn't imagine the amount of pressures they had to endure... They were wonderful.

When Taiwan discovered an unknown infectious disease outbreak in China, it reported it to the World Health Organization, but no one cared😅

Diligent observation, right policy, and effective leadership demonstrated by the former president Tsai to avoid the great loss both in human lives and economic growth like the rest of the world.

The funny thing about Taiwan's early response was that China banned Chinese tourist to visit Taiwan starting in 2017 with group tours and individual tourists in 2019 as a "punishment" to the Taiwanese government. So Taiwan was helped by China for their banning of Chinese to visit Taiwan.

Taiwanese society respects the profession of doctors very much Because Taiwanese doctors have been active in Taiwan’s political arena for a long time. Tsai Ing-wen’s Vice President Chen Jianren has a public health background. The current president,William Lai , is also a doctor.

2 additions: 1. Lockdowns necessitated online learning, significantly boosting demand for notebooks from companies like Asus, leading to a surge in Chromebook exports. 2. As the pandemic waned and the virus became less deadly in 2022, Taiwan gradually lifted lockdown measures. This transition coincided with a rise in infection rates.

To all: Taiwan was an aboriginal country. Netherlands was the first country to colonise Taiwan in 16 century. Dutch imported many Chinese from China as foreign labors to build Taiwan in 16 countries. Japanese colony from 1895-1945, and then Republic of China ( Taiwan, Republic Of China. ) took over rule of the island after Japan lost the war. Taiwan has Never controlled by People Republic of China ( P.R.C. established late in 1949 ) . Democratic Taiwan R.O.C was in UN until 1979. Please support Taiwan 🇹🇼 to be recognised by UN and WHO again . There are 2 Korea in UN and WHO , why UN and WHO has obeyed CCP China's demands?

while the efforts of Taiwan are impressive we should also do a comparison of govt policies of all Asian counties to understand whose was the best and why it worked for them while didn't work out for others

Good job on deleting my comments. Great to see that youre a free speech advocate. As for business and economics, you pretty much suck. 😂

Freedom of speech does not include lies and bullying. Freedom has limits, and liberty is never endless. Go back to your dictatorship, where you can talk nonsense without conscience. The free world is a place of reason and wisdom.
