We went there mid-December several years ago. Nice view but no clouds. Best sea of clouds is in Nong Khiaw, Laos. Hike up to the Pha Daeng Viewpoint in mid December and see a 360 degree sea of clouds !

It's so regular, they have regular tourist runs up there in the mornings. Sea of clouds every morn... When I was up there the cloud layer was a lot thicker, very beautiful

Hello. Alishan is like some Aztlán, the ancestral home of the Aztec peoples. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aztl%C3%A1n#/media/File:Gemelli_Careri_Aztec_Map.jpg I think that Aztec and Taiwan peoples are Austronesian cousins, IMHO.
