I just have to say, I was born in the year 2000; I just turned 22 and have been thinking back on my days playing the Wii. One of my favorite games to this day was tak and the guardians of the gross. I used to play the fuck out of this game and was looking through my stuff and found it. Still perfect in the case with the manual and all. My Wii broke a couple years back and I’ve been getting back into old games and wanted to play ofc but I was forced to opt into seeing some gameplay for unfortunate reasons as you can see. It’s been so long, the only games and things I knew about tak was the show and this game and I remember loving them fondly. So I searched up “Tak and the Gaurdians of the Gross.” Then your video came up, and you absolutely shit on both of them….. 💀. It was so nice to see gameplay from the game, looking back and hearing the music and seeing the graphics in your video just clicked that nostalgia in me. It’s also nice to see another person who knows about tak and who is passionate about his games. Love the videos bro, will def check out the first three games now, didn’t even know they exist. The stars aligned for me to get here in a funny kind of way and just wanted to say thanks, much love keep up the videos I will be staying tuned in. Hopefully you can cover some Ben 10 games/show 👀👀

A game not even worth remembering! The Tak community remembers the amazing trilogy Tak and the Power of Juju, Tak 2 the Staff of Dreams and Tak the Great Juju Challenge, the trilogy deserves to be remade! anything based off the crappy tv show is just that gross lol let’s hope the masterpiece of a trilogy gets remade anything based off the show is forgotten!

It’s all Cyma Zarghami’s fault for completely ruining Nickelodeon and making Tak go from one of their best series in the mid-00s to one of their MANY worst in the late 00s!

@@kieranstark7213 I know! I’ve been trying really hard to get the attention of THQNordic and Avalanche Software so they can remake the original trilogy! Get the word around and THQNordic will see the demand because there’s a lot of Tak fans and Tak was on THQNordic list of revivals! The Tak community has to get louder! Let’s bring the Great and Mighty Warrior of the Pupanunu people back! A KZbinr named WhatsaGoku did a video on it! It’s called why Tak and the Power of Juju needs a remake go watch it and spread it around everywhere so THQNordic can see! #BringTakback

The thing is, I actually did like this game as a kid, but it is most certainly something that I, even back then, thought was not nearly as great as the first two games. While I always felt like the first two games are on part with each other and shine in different way of story progression, but are both in their ways great, I always counted this game as worse than the first two.

@@beemaisterreviews1623 I wonder why you didn’t give a much lower score for T&tGoG because it really deserves it for intentionally murdering the Tak franchise in 2008 (the game and TV series that are only liked because of nostalgia, unlike the Banjo-Kazooie, pre-2010s Sonic and Pac-Man World games).

You mention that Jason Marsden was replaced by Hal Sparks as Tak in Tak and the Power of Juju TV Series and the Guardians of gross I wonder if you know that Jason Marsden was replaced by Hal Sparks again as Nelson in the Full House Revival Fuller House?

Hate to say this, but I think this game canon with the previous games. I saw a commercial of this game on KZbin and in the beginning, tak references the stuff he did (from tak 1-3) before cutting to rest of the commercial.

So here's some things I can say. I don't think this game is completely bad, I never played Tak as kid and the show never aired in my country so out of curiosity I made a marathon of all the Tak games in order just 2 years ago (I'm 20), so I admit maybe I just don't have the attachment or context from someone who grew up with it, but having played every single game and judging on their own merits as unbiased as possible, I found Guardians of Gross to be just... average, it's not my even my least favorite in the series (Tak 3 GBA holds that prize), I would give it like a 5.5 exactly, nothing more or less. Though I disagree with the music being bad, and there's some I still remember after playing it, like all of Trashthulu, Slopviathan Internal Normal and the last two parts of Stinkolossus, tone and atmosphere be dammed, if anything the music was the one highlight for me and what kept me playing, and having played through a bunch of games made by Blitz even more proof that their composers were underrated and I'm happy for them finding better jobs like De Blob and Alto's Odyssey. Anyway feel free to still hate this game all you want, just trying to give a new perspective.
