I have to admit, Remmy doesn’t always do it for me as a character, especially when he doesn’t really get involved in silly moments. But during serious moments he’s really in his element. That scene with Greckles, Panic, and Remmy was fire! The bonding as friends, the way each handled what was going on, the character development was just on point! Edit: also, holy shit. It just hit me that it’s been 134 episodes with just drips and drabs of Greckles’ backstory and only NOW is he going to open up to everyone about the details of his past!

Honestly, that's probably my biggest problem with Remy, and even with Bosco to an extent. Don't get me wrong, he's an amazing actor and role-player, but I still haven't gotten over when they were bullying that yugoloth chef and he literally BEGGED them to stop messing around. Screwing around even in dire circumstances is this show's trademark, and I feel like Bosco forgets that.

I think Remy is a good balance to the japery. Bosco is amazing at creating RP experiences for other players. Remy may be a stiff, but he’s an earnest one.

@@alphaxtitania5597 Yeah, that moment was great but Bosco/Remmy trying to get them to stop "messing around" felt it was kind of missing the point. Even during a serious scene you can still have levity. Levity should not be at the expense of NPC's lives, but if you're going to kill/banish something anyway might as well let the shenanigans roll. At least that's how I feel as a viewer. If I just wanted to watch people roll dice and clear rooms, I could get that at any adventurer's league game. I like series like The Unexpectables and Critical Role because they MIX levity and seriousness together. It makes for a nice contrast.

@@500a6500 Mmm, perhaps. The issue is that most of the time he plays the straight man, but often Task or Greckles already fill that role given the situation. And while Remmy is good at big dramatic moments and small character moments, that's still only about 30% of the campaign. So then the question is, what does Remmy do during the other 70% of the time? Especially when there's not a big character moment going on, such as downtime? As far as I can tell, Bosco hasn't quite figured that out yet. Which is disappointing, because he is indeed a great role player when it comes to the dramatic moments. But as time goes by it feels like he does one or two things really well yet for some reason it feels like he hasn't expanded his repertoire beyond that. Maybe it's just not something he's comfortable with, or maybe he just prefers to do things a certain way. To me it just doesn't quite feel like it fully meshes with the style the rest of the party goes for.

Well it looks like Greckles used his lvl 10 ABI to get the Observant feat. +1 to Int or Wis, +5 to Passive Perception, and the ability to read lips sounds like the perfect ability for a ninja.

What people complain about is that he doesn't act like a TYPICAL rogue. He works with the guards, he doesn't rob people for his own gain, and when faced with a dragon's treasure hoard, his first thought is "this needs to be used to help people", not "how much of this can I get away with stealing?" Yes, he does do some typical rogue things sometimes, but for the most part he acts against the stereotype.

Gnaryel's revelation about herself was one thing, but Azra being Task's grandmother seemed uncharacteristically obvious, considering the grandmother card that had appeared in front of Task the day he first met Azra. I think its played that, as the devils are personifications of musicians living talent, they're lawfully aligned with the individual they embody. And probably behave within the configns of deal making and standard summons.... But Catharsis' ability just rips the devil right out of the Realm of Discord, suddenly and without warning. So, you got a devil minding its business, just ambling around like any....day...and suddenly BOOSH NOISE, DISCORD, ACTUAL DISSENT AND CHAOS AS NOTHING MAKES ANY KIND OF SENSE AND WHY IS IT HERE AND WHY IS EVERYTHING YELLING AND RUNNING AND NOW THEYRE ATTACKING AND AAAAAAAAAAHHHHH the devil is probably normally amicable, but situations call for asskickings.

Monty based the ability on the spell Summon Greater Demons, which if the spell loses concentration or the demon succeeds the save, they are free, and don’t like being controlled. This version just pulls a random one where they aren’t controlled

These behave like demons with 2-8 intelligence. Also, the spell that Panic uses to summon them does not, I repeat, does not control them. So... It doesn't make sense for them to attack anything they see.

Zerpderp0 I would say it’s a bit darker than the Unexpectables, especially with the subjects it delves into (human trafficking, citizenship rights, that sort of thing.) I personally prefer the Unexpectables, but the Prince Division is not bad if you’re looking for a second RPG series to follow.
