Good review as ever. I received mine over the weekend and he's so frustrating! I can't get the shoulders to tab in at all, not even with a little force, which makes the Alt mode almost redundant. I've got a couple of other QC issues to, so I'm really considering sending him back, it's that bad.

There's a relatively easy fix for the misassembly that helps with the transformation but it involves mutilating the figure a bit with an exacto knife. On the arms cut off the shorter tabs, then pull out the short red wing section (the one you've shown falling out of its socket when flipping around).Disassemble it and cut an opening at the bottom of the socket (about a mil and a half deep should do). This allows the long arm tabs to sit in the socket without having to fight with it and the smaller tabs aren't really necessary for anything to begin with.

Got the Starscream and Skywarp from Walmart. (Paid $18.00 for Skywarp. $24.00 for Starscream with the weathering) them on clearance.) They were the older MP body style and they all have the base flight stand. They are all Hasbro versions

I love your intro. So creative keep stuff like that coming. Review was spot on. One thing I am incredibly disappointed is the price point. I understand the international reasons but still feel $300 is way too much. It's really put me off to this particular line. Takara please reduce the price. The mold is basically the same so I don't see the reason to inflate the price. I love the coneheads see what can be done Hasbro/Takara! Please! :)

+Optibotimus, thanks for another great review Paul! I quite like the way the nosecone transforms but like you, I'm not crazy about his backpack. However, I just don't think that the cost balances with that you get in the box. And with that said, I wish Takara/Tomy could slow down the release of these figures to allow collectors a chance to breathe financially in between releases. With the last three releases, then Shockwave, it really busts the budget for most of us and for that reason I have to pass - at least for now. Thanks again!

+Guitarzan I've read several comments saying that they don't feel this figure is worth the price. I honestly disagree. This is a limited release figure. I hear in Japan, only 2000 were made. I'm sure that number is a little higher in the other Asian markets. But i would imagine that no more than 5000 of these are being produced. I think it's that way because they don't feel that Ramjet is as mainstream as the others and therefore, have a smaller production run. For some, i think it'll be a must have, like with me. Others though, i think will pass just in general. Mostly cause they don't care as much about the character. I don't have a problem with their release schedule though. Ratchet is coming soon, which doesn't bother me as it's primarily a repaint of Ironhide. Which makes sense that it wouldn't take so long to get that guy out. But 2-3 figures a year, i don't feel is too much honestly. The repaints though, such as Exhaust or Road Rage, don't bother me any cause i don't care about those figures. Much like i feel some won't care about Ramjet

+optibotimus In that case, I would have to agree with you on the cost of Ramjet. You did mention the limited numbers in your video and I think I didn't take that into consideration when I made my comment - my apologies. Preordered mine from BBTS (clicked the link from this page) for the figure as I really dig Ramjet's character as well. When you figure 2-3 new molds a year - then the pace for new Masterpiece figures is not at all out of line. The repaints are not necessary, but a lot of collectors like to have the official versions of the figure. At that pace, it is tough in my opinion. Lastly, quick question - what forms of payment are acceptable on the Patreon page? I have searched and been unable to find a whole lot of info on that. I really would like to support the work you do for us but I prefer Paypal. Not sure if it is supported but it's just my preference. Thanks for the reply and take care!

Guitarzan No need to apologize :) I do agree that all the repaints gets very annoying after a while, but some of them, i simply don't care to have. Like the upcoming repaint of Ultra Magnus. I have no interest in that whatsoever so it lets me put money to better use since i know i can skip those. I'm not THAT much of a completionist. As far as Patreon goes, i do believe they allow you to actually use Paypal as a payment option. When you select how much you're willing to pledge, it allows you to put in your payment information. I do believe Paypal is there.

+optibotimus Watched the video again and I didn't have any QC issues with mine. I had one very small (pinpoint) paint spot, but otherwise I am very satisfied with it. For me, that jet mode is amazing. Very satisfying and fun transformation with a few variations that help differentiate it from the MP-11 mold (which was also great). Like I said before, it's a bit pricey but being a limited edition you wont be able to get your hands on one in a few years without dipping into your 401K. It looks great on the shelf and I'm not at all disappointed - just the opposite! Thanks again for the review and recommendation! Rock On!

Also, the MP-11T(Thundercracker) and MP-11SW(Skywarp) Im was assuming the NR should have stood for his name, but why he wasn't designated 11R, or 11RJ is beyond me. Gamestyle2004 You can see the plane cone between hi leg from the front. And I don't see how the nose cone would be too small, as it would be the same nose cone used for the plane and not the smaller one used for his head. They could've done it by simply making the plane's nose cone detach at the point where the two cones come together. And then transform it a normal. What I mean is in case I haven't been clear is the head detaches and the cockpit is rotated and the plane cone fed through the back. Well, instead of that, keep the two sections (the plane cone and head cone) as one piece. It would also make the back more flush cos you wouldn't have the big nose cone sticking out of the back. This probably makes a lot more sense in my head. lol

About the hands in Jet mode, something a lot seems to miss, but if you position the back of the hands toward the bottom in Jet mode, then it improve the look by making it look like it's just plating that is part of the bottom of the Jet. I find it stupid when people complain about the small size of the Autobot/ Decepticon symbols on transformers toys. Keep in mind the tagline of transformers is robots in disguise.
