I arrived in Pattaya at 42 after my divorce in 2003. I went crazy for 6 trips in 2 years. I wanted to move over full time but knew I had to be outside Pattaya. I chose Chiang Mai with quarterly trips to Pattaya. That decision saved me a lot of misery. I'm 62 now and I still get excited, full of energy, serotonin and dopamine when in Pattaya. Not like the first high trip but maintains the reason for a place like Pattaya. 😊

I’ll definitely be checking out the fish and chips there , used to love Fridays cod specials in Retox , but since it’s become Hemingways I don’t think it’s as good ! I also despise mushy peas , maybe something to do with watching the Exorcist in my teens .

I feel like I’m re-living my October trip!! Lots of negative comments, but I had the “carve” and it was excellent! Hadn’t had lamb in “donkeys years” as you often say and it was fab! 3 pints of the “black stuff” made a terrific meal!! And Max checked in on me often to see that I was enjoying myself…refreshingly attentive! My server was gorgeous and on the spot…a definite return for me!!

I was in Pattaya early April and ate at the Robin Hood. Had fish and chips and in all honesty was very very disappointed. The fish was bang average and the chips were awful. It was like they had been cooked in week old cooking oil. Definitely not worth 359 Bhat !!!! On top of that the waitress asked me to leave a review as I was still eating my food. It was like they were pressuring you to give a good review why you were still there. I didn't give a review!!! Given the reputation of the place I couldn't believe how bad the meal was. Shocking!!! Stayed at Areca Lodge... great place!!! Don't know if you now get any noise pollution from LV beer garden.

I totally agree Trevor! The oneway roads are the way to go. Here in Copacabana and elsewhere in Rio the roads are generally oneway. Definitely something I enjoyed at Robinhood was eating a high protein keto style breakfast (off the little am breakfast slip) after working out at fitness 7. Food was good! The prices are low relative to any objective Western comparison and I simply prefer Western style food. They have protein shakes available too with good quality protein powders! I ate dinner and lunch there often and I always enjoyed it, even ate hi carb Fish and Chips two times last trip @Queen Vic and Robinhood (COD for me) both were good! Enjoyed the Peas and Mushy peas 😯 . The Avenue has a Watson's, Gym, movies, coffee, Villa markets, a hardware type store and many other little shops!!!

soi bukhoa would definateley benefit from a one way system, but that would just pysh traffic somewhere else and, would you run it north to south or visa versa, north to south would probably be the option as its opposite direction to second road, but that would severley increase north bound traffic on an already very busy second road, third road is also busy, so controlling more of the soi,s into and out of bukhao making every other one way up or down might be a better solution both for second road soi bukhao and third road, time will tell and they will know a lot from the changes already made on diana and honey, in reflection it would be interesting to see or hear from the bars hotels and bussinesses on these streets as to the impact it has had, probably more of an inconvienence to stock etc and for deliveries etc than actual customers, what would your take on it be if they wanted to make (soi pothole) chaiyapoon a one way, would it impact your customers or do they mostly arrive on foot, thanks for sharing i hope this makes sense 55 55.

Hi Trev whenever I am in Pattaya I eat regularly at the Robin Hood. The place is very nice inside and outside. The staff is very friendly and the food is top notch. The only negative is Max. He might be a good manage BUT when he goes to a table to speak to customers he comes across as so false and insincere. Basically you can tell he's just going through the motions. I cringe when he comes over to say hello to me. I'm sure he's a nice guy but I wish he wouldn't go to the tables and talk to the customers

Personally I can’t understand why people go to Thailand and don’t ever eat Thai food I love it I have met older people who can’t even ask how much in Thai and live there 😂 Trevor does eat Thai food I love a good roast dinner but in Thailand I have noticed the potatoes are fried sometimes not roast. But whatever makes you tick I love grasshopper fried and ants 🐜 well I have eaten rat 🐀 bush rat with ockra and chilly and rice 🍚 Aroy mak mak sap lye

Not happy? Went downstairs for a foot massage (next to Vipers A go go). I thought it was a regular place, but this German guy in a curtained off bay was clearly getting extra service. He left apologetic and unfulfilled. If I am going for a full on massage, I expect to be taken to a cubicle, not like you are on a hospital ward.
