It really is too damn much. I looked at my screen time and I’m averaging 8+ hours a day… it’s sickening and it’s slowly making me sick. I hate to admit it but some days I’ve spent the whole day just going from app to app looking for the next thing to distract myself. I’m still improving myself day by day but wasting so much time on meaningless things like instagram. Gotta make a big change, you’ve inspired me once again. Going to leave my phone at home and go for a walk now to clear my head

Great video. I’ve struggled with anxiety pretty bad and high stress. One thing that helped me was as reducing/quitting alcohol. Another thing I find interesting is most people(not all) that drink alcohol regularly have nothing better to do in their free time than drink. It’s very clear to see. Most adults who enjoy drinking regularly that’s all they do with their free time. It’s sad and closes down so much of your life to this drug. Moderation is cool and fun but man I think it’s important to realize how accepted boozing is in our society. It’s a crutch for most. Find peace and enjoyment in the mundane day to day things

You are spot man, in my early days of “self improvement “ i thought that grinding it out at the gym would fix all my problems, however it didnt. It improved my self esteem and self image but thats it, its just one piece of the puzzle. I was so focussed on grinding it out that i was missing out on my social life, another puzzle piece. Its all about some kind of balance. Its a journey we all have to go through, stumble and stand up again. Only that way we learn more about ourselves. Life should be a play, not a grind. Have balance, life, love and laugh, as they say, right? ✌🏻
@Andreas10012
@Andreas10012 4 ай бұрын
Agree, however the grind can also be a sort of play. It all depends on the person and his situation. The way i see it we go in different directions through our lives trying to find that missing puzzle, and in the process we broaden our perceptions of the world and become more whole as we explore more corners of the world and ourselves. We expand.

Today, I was kind of distressed while I was getting back to dorm from university. FOMO hits all the time, All the youngsters just playin, spendin time around, lots of girls and stuff... but the values I've been taught (which is mostly conservative) are contradicting with that flashy life that most of the youth have now.. tradition and religion is irrelevant for the most of our generation. so i was upset about thinking that recently, the reality starts to hit as I get older..If you don't behave as you believe, you will end by believing as you behave, they say. So we gotta align our mindset with our lifestyle to stop suffering and over-taxing our wellbeing.. thanks for sharing this video, right on time!

Hey Elisha, when you say social media and podcasts that don’t have our best interest in mind, were you referring to the likes of Huberman, Joe Rogan, David Goggins, Jocko, etc. In previous videos you’ve mentioned them and I agree with you, although they all preach a righteous message it does add unnecessary confusion and stress to be excessively disciplined as opposed to living life.

Love the video but the number of people who are working out so much or so hard that they’re damaging their joints or aging themselves faster is very very small. For almost everybody working out will extend life and healthspan, it’s quite hard to get to that overtraining . Edit: obviously steroids are a different story.

@@tylerdurden8640 Watch some Goatis vids bro. Basically when you workout you trick your body into thinking its in danger and increase your stress hormones, because from evolution you would only run to flee from danger for example. Just like pr0n tricks your brain that your having real sex. I still workout though only way less and I feels much better, still have a good looking physique. Also because of the stress it lowers your test, the energy you get after a workout is because of the stress just like coffee. Also the gym is quite a new thing, our grandpa's never went to a gym probably. Sorry for sounding like a reddit nerd btw 🤣
