Nobody talks about this on your videos, but you're serving as a really fucking good example for the way drums are changing. Making an electric kit sound this good will be inspiring for a lot of people. The world we are in is increasingly less habitable for acoustic drumming.

I was wondering about that. This is the 1st video I've seen by this drummer & I thought the drums sounded different. I couldn't tell what those symbols were made of. First time I saw an entirely electric drum kit. Normally see a finger tapping pad or a 2 piece bongo looking thing. Amazing! Thank you for saying that. I really had no idea... I grew up watching Buddy Rich & Gene Krupa; so forgive my naiveté

In college at University of Arizona, I used to go out and watch this guy Chip Ritter play drums whenever I could. He was a very technical player when he wanted to be, very straight forward when the song or band called for it, but always played the song the way it sounded like it should be played. As a drummer myself, I drew inspiration from him in that regard at a time in my life when I was constantly trying to get faster and crazier. Just do what’s right for the song. I saw him play in a club one night with an 80’s cover band. They played this song and I thought his interpretation of it was incredible. And I was a big jazz and fusion guy at that point in my life. It was just perfectly played and he was having so much fun doing it. This video took me back to that time. You played it perfectly and you had so much fun doing it. A real pleasure to watch. You are a top drummer in my book.

Yeah, a song I loved in my childhood and still love now! Bringing back some good old memories, thx for that. The song came out in 1984, I was 6 years old and I listened to this song at least 10 times a day (my parents weren’t very amused 🤪), and till now one of my favorite A-Ha songs. It makes fun to watch and listen to you, you clearly have fun while playing, I like that 👍🏻👏
