Remember early in the pandemic when tests were largely unavailable due to shortages and they were under scrutiny because they hadn't been tested for accuracy? Doctors at that time couldn't even diagnose people and just told people to stay home and isolate. So, that's probably what happened to her. She did say she had it in 2019 before it even had a name.

Covid is still a threat, especially to those with chronic and other health issues. 10,000 people are still dying each day in this country. We still wear masks when out in public indoor spaces. We have a son in college with a chronic illness. We also have elderly parents. We don’t care what others think and no one has an issue. Why does someone else wearing a mask bother anyone else? He’s a child. Why is he concerned with what others say?? Now, her wearing a mask at home and in bed-- that’s a problem. She needs help. So sad. It’s traumatic for her.

I can sympathize. My father and I were both diagnosed September 23 2020. He was only 54, not sick, and one of the strongest people I'd known. He died September 25. He and my mother were in the hospital with covid at the same time while I was stuck at home sick. This was the most traumatic thing I've ever experienced so I understand her fear. But somehow I do wonder is this just for the show?

Sometimes what people don't realize is that people most of the time when you see people riding with a mask on by themselves they have just dropped a person or multiple people off and that stuff can linger in a small space like an enclosed car for hours. Sometimes these are also ride-share folks. So that is often the reason. Just informing, not @you.

I still wear a mask - at work when I leave my desk, grocery stores, so on. I caught COVID after the pandemic, just a few months ago because I had dinner with visitors (director/CEO) from DC. Also I don't like being sick (colds, flu) so I where a mask in public.
