I don't even think it necessarily has something to do with not being able to, but rather not wanting to release this stuff on the other side, knowing that she probably has some minors in her audience over their for whom this heavier stuff would be to hard to handle/understand. It sucks to be in a position where the only "valid" response in the eyes of people is to shut up and ignore the barbs and jabs and expect you not to respond or rebuff the comments and ill-faith arguments for the sake of "professionalism". Even when you need to blow off steam or are 1000% in the right with your words. This track rings true, Dice. I'm glad you have this outlet.

The amount of people I saw say “bro she shouldn’t have fed the trolls it’s her fault bro” in regards to the drama that happened on her other stuff was actually enraging. This is probably my favorite song on the EP, at least in terms of its messaging and sharp as hell lyrics. Makes a surgical scalpel look like a butter knife. I love how it's an honest plea to simply let content creators or whoever it is you look up to be human and flawed. People aren't infallible idols. They trip up, make mistakes, and don't always have the best judgement. They get angry or sad and say some things that'll upset people. But, that's no reason to destroy those people and throw them away. They should be allowed to be flawed, but also pick themselves up and learn from said flaws. The stifling pressure that we as a culture place on people "acting professional" is incredibly damaging in its own way. We all deserve the dignity of being able to be human and screw up and that is communicated beautifully in this song that kicks a thousand kinds of ass. It's angry, but not hateful. Just honest and blunt. I freaking adore that. Thanks for being honest with us, DDK. This is one of your most brilliant songs yet. I could listen to these lyrics over and over again.

technically everyone is held to that standard, but celebrities and those with higher positions have something to lose if they make the mistake of snapping back, While the bottom feeders have nothing to lose, they can just dissapear and reappear as something else because they have no stake in their continued existence under that name. the difference is effecitvely just in what you have to lose and how much irritation is worth giving that up for

This track in particular has been food for thought for me ever since i heard it the first time. Even if was not meant to be related to "certain events" it still communicates something we always forget: That the person we admire can make mistakes and shouldn't overpraise or obssess over him/her as if said person was Jesus or something or yell at him/her whenever said person makes a mistake. We always forget said "influencer" is also human, like us, and shouldn't bash said person because they "failed to live up to their own standards", but rather try to understand and back the f*ck up if things get incindieary, at least until the fire is gone. Influencers can be respected and you can still support them, but always remember to be mindful and not obsess so much over someone. So, no matter what mask that person is wearing, before you leave a hurtful comment, always remember there's a human being at the other side of that mask. *It's something i had to learn after hearing this song.*

@avant40352 жыл бұрын
Very much enjoy this song! An unapologetic response to haters and the slander output by them. Those who are astonished by someone's outrage tend to be the creators of it. Bad actors twist any negativity of one in a high position into whining about their success and career, as if success (especially as a content creator!) does not have responsibility and consequences intertwined with it. The tragic part of this dynamic is how it forces a lot of content creators to repress their feelings and invalidate their emotions. Not to mention, with a large audience and immense influence comes the end of defending yourself from every hater or false accusation due to their sheer volume and the notorious lack of control influencers have on their fans. Haters never have a public image they need to keep track of, no one will ever care to hold them accountable. We can see in the lyrics, during the compilation of attacks, how all of them have one thing in common: they simply were never said. It's a mix of the hopelessness and absurdity which I believe was being highlighted in that section. Ignoring haters leads to a pile of rumors and misunderstandings, ones that can only spread. To have influence means every little action of yours is put under a microscope, doomed to be misinterpreted. It's when your words start to mean something that you realize they've become more limited than ever. Point is, it's very hard being a successful artist, or content creator, or influencer! It's a leadership role in it's own way, with unique struggles. I'm sure this song will relate to a lot of other people in a similar position, so thank you DemonDice for creating this piece. Hope all's well over there.

I agree with you up to a point. It is not the content creator's responsibility what their followers or haters do or say and it should never be. But we are in a point in time now where it seems people can't separate fiction from reality nor people from its content. You can enjoy someone's content, and even don't like the person behind it, but you have no right to harass or try to damage in any way them because of the stuff they do that you don't like. They are people too. And that "leadership" position is no such. Is people who likes to gather and being in a hive-mind which is not good for anyone.
@avant40352 жыл бұрын
@@lokasocba Hey! I disagree that a content creator is "never" responsible for what their followers do. If a content creator is preaching a horrible ideology that a majority of their fan base begins to follow, for instance, then they are clearly the root of why that occurred. You should not be absolutely reckless as a content creator and believe you can spew whatever you like without consequences. This is because, as you point out, a "hive-mind" problem in our society. As much as me or you do not like that, it is how the world around us runs and, therefore, cautions against that must be taken by the content creator. Does that make sense? I do not support harassing content creators at all, and similarly with things like cancel culture. I agree with you there. I *do* support holding them accountable in a constructive manner (no death threats, no trying to destroy their entire life, etc.). This may damage them in the process, but at that point the fate of the content creator lies in their response to the critiques.
@lokasocba2 жыл бұрын
@@avant4035 What can I say? For me only actions should have consequences, if you tell people to jump off a cliff and they jump, for me is their fault, not from the one who told them to. People should learn to tell right from wrong, person from character and stop the cult of personality that so much damage causes.
@lokasocba2 жыл бұрын
@@avant4035 Then again. I don't want it to be an excuse to do whatever either. As I said, actions should have consequences, and when you as a "leader" who recognizes that have certain level of influence do "calls to action" is when you have to be made somewhat accountable. If you (as creator) are just doing your content and people act believing they do you any favors or something like that (or haters doing hate), you shouldn't pay for their dumb (or evil) actions.

I know the lyrics say the opposite, but Demondice literally is my role model, I'd say the way she managed to build up a following from nothing just by producing good music is very inspiring
@lorenzomeulli7502 жыл бұрын
The point is more that nobody has the duty to be anyone else role model only because they happen to be famous. Being famous or just big enough to be known by a niche of people don't give you any responsability towards society.
@chukyuniqul2 жыл бұрын
I think they mean more that you're not entitled to anything just cuz you took her/wanna take her as your role model. Besides, I believe admiring someone for a trait that makes them great (such as DD's work ethic) is fine and no one, not even she herself has an issue with that.

I'm glad you have this outlet. Keep up the hard work. It's easy to say "ignore the Dorito-dusted haters", but I know their words can affect more than just your mental. You're competent though, you jumped every hurdle so far, and if your record is any indication you'll keep going. Good work. :)

Love your lyrics. The never fail to make me think and I'm so glad you take every opportunity to express stuff through them. Really does... shed some light to the flipside of the coin. I might only be a viewer and listener, but I'll always make sure I'll remember there's a human on the other side of "the screen" as well... and like all human's, we should be allowed some mistakes, wrong words, flaws and hot takes.. At least without people throwing any of it under a microscope and try to rally up a lynching.

Your flow here hits like watching a burning building collapse. It's horrifying, but too beautiful to look away from even when you should. Still utterly blown away at how you space out the aggression to pull the listener in, rather than push them away, and it's hypnotic. Straight fire.

God your lyrics are just masterclass, you're in a league of your own with your thoughtful/meaninggul writing and ridiculously speedy and slick style. IMO you're definitely the GoAT of rap/hiphop, so endlessly talanted and classy while remaining a very real and down to earth person (At least on this side where you're being the real you). I honestly wish I found about you way sooner, regardless you have plenty of new fans who adore you and your work and enjoy whenever you get to be yourself without needing an act, fame seems to be treating you a bit rough but best wishes from all your followers.
