How can l make a lesser sacrifice, when Jesus gave His all. So we too are called, to take up our cross & follow Him. He shows us the way, by being THE WAY, The Truth & The Life. Thank you for playing one of my 'ol time favorites.

I grew up with these songs when missionaries visited our Indian village. I makes me so nostalgic. The words are just a reminder of what my salvation costs. Thank you Jesus. 🙏🏽

Praise God. This song takes me back to 45 years ago when I became a Christian in High School. I love hymns and I’m sad that many churches are not singing hymns. I have to admit it was not long and I am so happy you sang every verse. I went to bed last night listening to this song. I was blessed; continue singing for the Lord. To God be the glory

Thank you very much, Martha! This is a very precious song. I learned it from my mother. She went to heaven last Sept.at 94. I went through KZbin hoping to find the most faithful to Rev. Ackley's composition. I think you're the 5th I listened to. And my Mama's memories came back again. Yes, you were right in singing all the verses. I do appreciate it. By the way, I just subscribed to your channel. God bless your ministry!

1. I walked one day along a country road, And there a Stranger journeyed, too. Bent low beneath the burden of His load: It was a cross, a cross I knew. (Refrain) "Take up thy cross and follow Me," I hear the Blessed Saviour call; How can I make a lesser sacrifice, When JESUS gave His all? 2. I cried, "Lord JESUS," and He spoke my name; I saw His hands all bruised and torn; I stooped to kiss away the marks of shame, The shame for me that He had bourne. 3. "Oh, let me bear Thy Cross, Dear Lord," I cried, And, lo, a cross for me appeared, The one, forgotten, I had cast aside, The one, so long, that I had feared. 4. My cross I'll carry till the crown appears. The way I journey soon will end. Where GOD Himself shall wipe away all tears, And friend hold fellowship with friend.
