Great video. I have my opinions but I think it’s really hard to de-lineate teams prior to tough matchups as you stated.

UNI is a FCS Big 10 archetype Nebraska needed to prepare for Big 10 play across-the-board. Coach Rhule and staff are very detail oriented the issues presented will be fixed.

Very happy with the offense Defense was sloppy, but i expected a bit of a slump after dominating colorado so hard. Not to mention, UNI was the first team we played that could run the ball, and they definitely took advantage, and the clock, so we couldnt run the score up.

No way ..i think 10-2 is the best Nebraska can do . USC out there i think is a sure loss for us. Realistically I'm still predicting 8 wins ..i will wait until after the Indiana week to change my mind if needed. Nebraska has a lot to improve on .
@evan_ceptionАй бұрын
I'm thinking 9-3 or 10-2 is more likely. Ohio State is a top 5 team in the nation and USC looks improved on D while still having a good to great offense. If I had to predict another loss I'd put my money on either Indiana or Iowa, or possibly Rutgers. Friday will tell us a lot about how actually good Nebraska is. Illinois is a borderline bowl team from what I've seen. Yeah they beat Kansas, but I think KU has taken a big step back from last season and their QB who has balled out in the past has been turning it over a lot so far as well. Honestly, Friday will tell us a lot about both teams.

Every time I see Nebraska, their defense looks very fast. Matt Rhule? The dude was a State College linebacker. Their defense should improve and improve. That scares me. The offense doesn't yet.

I think people are making too much of the defense's performance against UNI. I think that UNI was just better prepared. This was one of their biggest games this year. It was a tune-up game for NU. The time of possession was a little concerning but half of that difference was in NU's first drive and UNI's first drive. It's less concerning because if you break down the other drive comparisons it averaged out to about a minute per possession. Which you would expect from what they were trying to do. So basically, an initial miscalculation that was quickly changed. You add in the fact NU was giving 2nd and 3rd string guys on defense meaningful playing time, and UNI was still playing hard with mostly starters. Making that one minute difference almost a nonconcern.

Nebraska 2025 schedule: At home -> Cincinnati, Akron, Houston Christian, Michigan, USC, Michigan State, Northwestern, Iowa On the road -> Maryland, Minnesota, Penn State, UCLA,
@evan_ceptionАй бұрын
@@jakinthebox7309 Cincy is actually a neutral site game, but yeah, that schedule is pretty weak as it stands right now. If Nebraska makes a huge leap next season they could go 11-1 or even 12-0.
@charliehuntsman9827Ай бұрын
Loved the first drives for Nebraska however didnt lile the defense on the filed forever the first quarter not impressed with second half adjustments need at least thosw feild goals on those touchdowns 9n the second half . And what really blow me away was the interception in the 2nd half was damn i thought Lloyd had that ball 🏈 . But hey we won where 3-0 lets hope we can keep this going against Illinois and damn Bret B .

The defense struggled against Cedar Falls Iowa UNI
@ben-not-benniАй бұрын
I would argue that the pick was partially Raiola's fault. I think it was equally his and Lloyd's fault - and a hell of a play by the corner. Not saying it was a terrible pass, but it wasn't a good one either. If Lloyd fought harder he could've at least had dual possession (favors offense) or got a bit more separation, not an issue. If Raiola led the pass instead of putting it on Lloyd's back hip, the corner wouldn't have been able to pick it (maybe bat it down, but even that is questionable). But lastly, it's still a great play by the UNI corner.

A lot of critiquing for a Michigan fan. I understand you cover the big 10, let’s wait and see from big 10 play before criticism comes into play.
@gaijyngamer7503Ай бұрын
You also need to come correct. And I mean this very respectfully. Nebraska allowed a TD against Colorado in the 3rd quarter, they did not shut them down in the half.
@chrislane3228Ай бұрын
I haven't gotten to see Illinois play yet. Are they really good?
@daltonhurlburt1487Ай бұрын
Haven’t seen them play either but to my knowledge they are a pretty good team this year they put belt to ass on central Michigan this week
@francisrauth9201Ай бұрын
They are slightly better than last year. Lost some key guys but are plugging and playing reasonably well. Don't read too much into the Central Michigan game. They played with starters almost the entire game against a horrible team. NU could have kept the foot on the gas against UTEP and UNI for much longer. But not taking risks with a freshman QB early in the year and giving 2nd and 3rd string guys more playing time was more important in the long run. I think the Illini coach's goal was to build confidence among their starting players going into the NU game because they will be in that game for the duration.

That they have shown yet..its understood Nebraska has many blitz packages but are working on getting pressure with 4 DL these first few games.

Speaking as a Nebraska fan, I think we're at least a little overrated. The defense looked pretty flat against UNI. Yes, they held them to 3 points, but the yardage will matter when we take on real teams with real offenses. If it's possible for a team to look bad while still winning 34-3, I think they did it. Raiola has been solid, but look at the nature of a ton of his throws, especially in the UNI game. A TON of his completions are behind the line of scrimmage. I'm not saying Nebraska isn't highly improved from last year, and I'm not saying Raiola isn't good. I'm just saying, let's pump the brakes a little on this team.
@ehenningsenАй бұрын
I've been a fan for decades. This team appears more complete than any since the early Solich era. The 94 team allowed 21 to Pacific and UCF was allowed like 500 yards passing during that era. Don't assume too much from a decent FCS program against a dry, vanilla D
@mas5867Ай бұрын
@ehenningsen "more complete" What? Neb's strength of schedule is 128/134 through 3 games. I bet you'd be very hard pressed to find a weaker SOS for Neb through the 1st 3 games.
@mas5867Ай бұрын
@ehenningsen And Pacific and UCF were D1, not FCS.
