Dang man, I can feel for y’all. This is kind of how I felt after the Michigan State game. The Hawkeyes just got absolutely dominated. I still like Luke as HC, but Wisconsin doesn’t know who Wisconsin is anymore man. Not having TVD behind center has definitely crippled y’all, but as an Iowa fan I did not see 42-10 coming

Your eyes are not deceiving you. The University of Wisconsin football team is bad for a myriad of reasons: -The starting QB is bad and there is no depth behind him. -The TEs are just bad as a group; they draw penalties and are no threat in the passing game. -The offense can't sustain or finish drives. This eventually leads to your defense being on the field to long and being worn down. -The front seven on defense hasn't held up on run defense against good teams. Last night was exceptionally bad. It's a long list of problems that can't be solved by the players on the roster. It will be interesting to see if they become bowl eligible. Expect multiple coaching changes this off season.

The d line is pretty bad too. Besides Elijah hills, there really isn’t anyone that ever penetrates and the rest of them cannot really hold the point of attack

As a Iowa fan I actually root for Wisconsin outside of this game mainly because of its Iowa connections with Barry Alvarez and Brett Bielema. Wisconsin needs to get back to their identity with 330 pound offensive linemen and pounding the ball. This air raid attack is not something that will not work at Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska or teams like this where we are in the country. We don’t have the recruits for it.

The wheels were always wobbily, but they have completely fallen off now. Locke can take a hike after this season and no one should shed a tear. I'm not sure if MM is the futute, but it sure as hell ain't Locke.

Unfortunately, I have yet to watch the game, but based on your comments, they made an honest attempt to win through the air. If we failed, then we have CONCLUSIVE evidence that there is ZERO downside to starting Mettauer. We have two weeks to get him ready for Oregon.

Locke is a bright kid, but just doesn’t have the poise and mobility to lead a big time football program. He seems to make key errors that seem to kill momentum. I believe that the pick 6 in the Penn State has not been fully recovered from. In the Iowa game he was needed to help cover an offense that was struggling to run the ball. He threw 2 picks, had 2 other passes that could have been picked and had 2 tipped passes. Time to give Mettauer significant reps.

I think he can see coverage when it is man to man. Zone coverage, he struggles big time. I think he’s tracking the receiver and doesn’t even see the defender in the zone. That happened with PSU, and both Iowa picks

It's not just a height issue. It's a mental issue and it's a physical issue and he can't move in the pocket and he's so unathletic. Just about every pass is high or behind or he bounces it into him. So is mechanics are s*** as well

Locke is not D1 starter material and this offense is not working. It sure seemed like most of the team quit in the 4th. I expected to see Mettauer in the second half with how Locke was playing and maybe so did the players.

Iowa fan here. Here's what I noticed. Wisconsin has lost its identity. Reminds me of nebraska's downward spiral. Trying to be something you're not. Chasing the hot coach that doesn't fit your culture. If you don't fix this, Wisconsin will be joining nebraska as a punch line. I never thought I'd say this but Wisconsin is soft and undisciplined. Sawft.

@@metalgate1979 You probably are too young to remember Ferentz going 11-24 in his first 3 seasons after following a legend. Iowa fans will run into a rough patch again, trust me. Especially with how schedule difficultly sways dramatically from year to year in the Big.

If you think the issue with Wisconsin is not that they are playing a scheme that they don't have the personnel for then idk what you are watching. Iowa has rough patches all of the time but a rough patch for them is 8-4 because they know how to win even if its ugly and gross. If Iowa tried to be an Air Raid team they would be terrible too. The only way Wisconsin gets out of this is either they somehow recruit an insane QB/WR room and get back to a normal Big 10 defensive set and personnel, or they leave the air raid behind and get back to the Wisconsin scheme that was incredible for decades.

@drake8858 you wanna know the most frustrating part is? I totally agree, but unfortunately, I’m not on the coaching staff. And don’t talk to me about sustained success because Wisconsin has been one of the most successful programs over the last 25 years in the entire country. All I wanted them to do was hire a little more creative offensive coordinator, like Shawn Lewis and recruit quarterback talent.

I mean, they did bring in a new QB and HE GOT HURT. Not sure why the expectation remained unchanged for some. They clearly thought they needed better than Locke and tried to get it. Of course they'll try to do it again. Lotta time spent on the QB here, this was a failure on many levels. The D obviously had big issues with the run, even knowing that's all that was coming. That's pretty pathetic.

Assuming Wisconsin could just go to go get all the athletes necessary to run a spread offense… is ridiculous. Wisconsin is not a blue blood and its cold as hell. I love the people and the state, but the audacity to move away from a hard nose running program is astounding.

I am an Iowa fan. I want all of you Wisconsin fans feel how this loss went (deflating, terrible, shocking) and that is exactly how Iowa felt after ISU and MSU games when Iowa is much better than both of them.. season ender and confusing. You're feeling the exact same emotions Iowa fans had after MSU 2 weeks ago. Wisconsin is rebuilding and Iowa is on their final "great" year until they rebuild next year. Wisconsin will be ahead of Iowa next year if they get a QB.

@@MrApenn92 i think you had the wrong QB for the two losses (forget tOSU) and at MSU, I don’t know what happened there. You should have won even with Cade at QB. That’s just a shocker. Like the whole team was hungover. This Iowa loss is much much different for Wisconsin fans. This is the widest margin of victory in the series since 1968. Wisconsin was bullied in embarrassing fashion on both sides of the ball. As a fan, this is the most embarrassing loss since the 59-0 loss to OSU.
