I like that this woman speaks slowly. I also appreciate the quiz at the end.

I was struggling a lot with these direct and indirect objects, even tho I speak Portuguese, it's still really difficult to understand it. You made it easier. Thank you!!!

This, conjugations and reflexives are the reason I'm rubbish at Spanish. I don't think my tiny brain will ever be able to cope with the mental gymnastics required to produce a coherent conversation. 😩

Great video - big thanks! Question about last example. I buy food for my dogs. In example "Yo se las compra" I buy it for them. why not "Yo se la compro"? direct object pronoun for comida (las) is considered plural because of more than one dog?
@tylerkim42754 жыл бұрын
I think las is refering to the dogs because its the direct object
@crylerner4 жыл бұрын
I have the same question....I thought it would be "Yo se la compro." as well.
@NMranchhand4 жыл бұрын
You’re right, it is because the dogs are plural. Each pronoun refers to a separate noun. As you may know, each plural noun in Spanish gets the plural article, or in this case, pronoun, it deserves.
@randylounds82114 жыл бұрын
I agree with la instead of las. La comida is definitely the direct object. If the original sentence were las comidas, then las would make sense, but la is in place of "la comida" and se is in place of "mis perros".
@carollopez39914 жыл бұрын
I don’t understand this, either. The las is the direct object, and comida is singular. It should not change, I think. Unless you are buying 2 different foods for the 2 dogs.

My question is, do you have to use the indirect object pronoun, can you simply say the complete sentence? I know it helps not to be repetitive, but sometimes it is easier for me to just not change the sentence. Is that ok, or is it not accepted? Thank you
