Rappers sing about shooting guns and killing people. They rap about being affiliated with gangs. They rap about violence occurring to you if you speak to them. They rap about stealing from people and having affairs. They rap about being affiliated with drugs, drug dealers and other criminals. They sing about doing nearly every illegal thing you can think of. Many have been to jail. Many have been convicted of murder and other crimes they've rapped about. And that's fine. Freedom of speech and I like rap. But why would anyone be surprised that rappers end up getting shot and killed? It's the lifestyle that's killing them.... We're not talking about humble people who mind their business, follow the rules of society, and spend their free time watching Netflix with family. We're talking about people who are self-proclaimed 'bout that life' --aka a lifestyle that is fully charged and will likely kill you or end you up in prison. Takeoff's death is heartbreaking, but I'm afraid it's not going to stop here. Until rappers are singing about respecting your neighbors and learning knowledge from books rather than thugs in the street, it's not going to change.

Why are people shocked!! The culture promotes this in the music and in actions!! Makes all the sense in the world to me!! Sad to say the least, but our culture needs to be re-evaluated. Hip Hop is not Hip Hop anymore. They are called Influencers for a reason! Let that sink in!!

Im a oldhead and this has torn me up. I got kids older than the Migos. The fact that not one single bad comment or remark lets you know he was special. Just know his eternal life with God has started, he is totally healed and very much alive. He wouldn't come back here if he could!
