Enjoy your video very much. I am quite new and got StreamDeck mobile 2 weeks ago with lifetime version. I have 2 questions to consult you: 1. I set 4x8 buttons. Can I set another 2x3 or 2x4 etc buttons page for any new profiles and how to do that? 2. If I can do a 2x3 or 2x4 etc buttons format, can I enlarge the button/icon image frame to have a more clear/larger picture of the icons appeared on my Ipad? Appreciate your help.

Interesting. Profiles are one or more page collections of events to raise to cause actions to happen. Every profile can have zero too many references to other profiles. Very flexible. Suggests lots of exit routes to next set of reasonably connected operations. Good, thorough review. Thanks.

Hi Alec - long time listner, first time caller (commenter) Is there a way to use the stream deck to activate chrome extensions? For example, webclippers to various apps (Notion, Asana, Things3, Readwise, etc) Thanks for your work.

I'm thinking about getting one of these for logic pro. Now I wouldn't get this usually, but I am also planning on streaming eventually while making music, so might be useful, so when making music on stream, can plug it into pc, and when making music by self, then can use it on mac.
@TakeOneTech Жыл бұрын
You will not regret getting a Stream Deck! I bought it originally for streaming and live video production... that is it's original intended purpose when Elgato designed it. However, it was only once I had it that I realised what an amazing productivity tool in general it is. I use it in every aspect of my daily work on my computer - everything from opening and closing files folders and apps and setting up my various workspaces, to shortcuts in office apps like Excel, Keynote, Word and the like, to triggering other automation workflows in applications like Keyboard maestro. Honestly, it is a productivity game changer and once you get one for your music production use case, you'll quickly realise you can use it very effectively for a whole lot more. :-)

Very nice, in-depth overview. Wish you had some windows equivalent videos. I realize there just some keystroke differences sometime (Command vs Ctrl) , but it can vary greatly with which software and utilities are available across the two, such as ecamm and Keyboard Maestro being Mac only (I hope I'm now exposing my ignorance here). Would be great to see a Windows focused approach.

@19:16 Yes, don't use folders! If you need to let's say create a folder for various things, create a new profile instead. Then just link that button to the profile instead of a folder. If you accidently delete a folder, everything inside that folder is gone forever.

My Stream Deck drop down page only has 3 items in menu, Timer, Brightness and Sleep. Is there an additional download?
@TakeOneTech Жыл бұрын
Since I made this video the stream deck software was updated (and you likely have that latest version). They have now split the Stream Deck actions into 3 sections: Stream Deck, Navigation and Multi-Action... you should now find what you are looking for in one of those 3 sections. 😊

Thought I'd discovered a new tool in Pro Mouse, but alas there is no Windows version out there at this point (Jan 2023).. if there was in the past, those links no longer contain a Windows build. I really like the magnifier effect around the mouse (the halo ring) as that is exactly the right thing for presenting tutorials. Ah well.
