As always, Alec, excellent job! You really do help us get the most out of Ecamm. Thank you.

The very first thing I queried, when a newbie was the audio pause facility. It meant I needed to load my audio into third party apps to pause my training tracks. I’m over the moon with the addition of this facility. Thanks guys!

Starting a new recording in the live stream is fantastic 🎉

Funnily enough I was thinking of you literally as I paused and said ‘oh actually I can see why you’d want this during recording as well’! One Take, but a series of separate files to drop into your system!

@@TakeOneTech I hosted six live streams last week, and my target audience is split between humans and AI agents. When discussing topics, I keep in mind that I’ll repurpose the content into other formats, such as podcasts or long-form videos for a human audience. To make this process smoother, I find it helpful to share relevant information directly during the live stream. Sometimes, I even segue into recording a segment specifically for later use, like a short clip based on what I just discussed in the video. This feature seems incredibly useful for my workflow and use cases.

I wish you could help me find the best setup for my live music show I run Ecamm on a Mac Mini M4, and a RCP2 for audio. Io need to remote all audio sources with RCP2 faders; Spotify, on Chat, guests on Secondary, and the rest on Main wig Mix Minus. The issue is iPad audio, which I cannot control through a dedicated fader, and I can’t monitor if Passthrought stays off. Also is a nightmare to send guests (both Interview and Zoom) all channels. You seem to be the only one who can help me with efficient settings Thank you in advance

You could connect the iPad via Bluetooth which would give you independent control on a dedicated fader. Also I the latest RødeCaster firmware we have virtual devices where you can assign individual apps to its own fader…. I have yet to make a dedicated video on this feature but will do soon! I am available for consultations in the mean time if you need some one to one help with your setup: www.takeonetech.io/consultation

@@TakeOneTech thanks, unfortunately I need both audio and video from iPad so Bluetooth is not a viable option It’s a pity that people only think of gaming or basic podcasting for audio tutorials. Routing on Mac is a nightmare and for radio shows with video, especially complex ones like mine, there’s nothing around to help us

Any plans for action replays?

I know it has often been requested and is ‘on the list’… I just don’t have any inside knowledge of how high up the list it may be! Never hurts to mention feature requests in the Ecamm Beta facebook group again though 🙏😊

Was watching hoping for a specific feature. I currently use Ecamm live weekly for live streaming but I’m now thinking about using it for my pre recorded stuff. I want to use Ecamm live to record videos for editing later. I want to record giving some presentations with me Picture in Picture next to the presentation screen (usually something in a browser). I would then like the freedom later to change the layout of where I am, sometimes being full screen, sometimes PIP, sometimes just the browser full screen. I know I can record myself and the presentation in a scene. I can then turn on Iso record and have an individual recording for me. Is there anyway I can make it so I can also have an iso individual recording of the browser window without using additional software?

Thanks Alec. The audio filters apply only if you have a Rodecaster? Or even for a microphone connected directly to your laptop? I’m using a blue Yeti.

The audio filters apply to anything connected to Ecamm 😊
