I'm just like you, man...find myself walking right past the supercars to the old muscle cars and trucks. Not that I hate supercars...but, they just don't have the same appeal to me.
@Jackalski573 жыл бұрын
Just comparing old Vettes with new ones, I'll pretty much just walk by the newer ones to see a '63 or thereabouts! The newer ones do have clean lines, handle better, etc, but looking under the hood there's just that dressy piece of plastic on top and you can't see the engine itself. Heck, there could be a bunch of squirrels running around in a cage providing the power for all you could tell. I just see no soul in many of the newer cars.

Awesome 63!!! Real killer car! Yes, i would be afraid to pull up next to Nicks monster in a Super car!!! Craig! Glad you went for a ride in that 63, let it be a great inspiration to finish your 64s. Theyre not turds!!!! Love the 63-66 Galaxies👍🏁

Makes me wanna cry to see this Galaxie... I owned a 63 1/2 Galaxie500 XL convertible some 30 years ago. Lived in Switzerland that time and was working on restoring it for years. Switzerland only imported the 352 as max size motor option but mine had a 4 speed manual shift. Had to sell the car half way through the work. Body work is so expensive in Switzerland and I didn't have a shop or experience to do it myself. Well all I have left are photos. That car is still my favorite ever. Great job on keeping your car in original look and having that much power coming out. Jealous haha.

This is the perfect Ford!! I had a 1971 Galaxy with a warmed over 400M for a few years. It brings back memories. This is the Ford guys like me dream about, but it’s way out of my price range. Thanks so much for the fantastic video.

Car show season. This is the first year I can remember in the 15 years I have lived here that I can drive my car in March. Usually the snow is still 5' deep here and the roads are covered in salt until May. Last year it was May 20th when I could get the GTO out. I am digging the warm weather in the north. I should be building something cool, but instead I am trying to fix the winter beaters, fuel and brake lines always rust off them here.

What a fantastic car. Many years ago My dad purchased a new 64 galaxy 500 and I tagged along for an oil change. I had always loved Ford vehicles and kept up with Super Stock racing. As I looked around the lot I found a new white 64 galaxy fast back buried in the back lot. On. The fender was Ford's bird for showing engine size. On the label was 427. The rear of the hood had spacers so the hood would shut covering the big 427. I popped the hood and was amazed with the large engine that had 2-four barrel and two hoses that looked like dryer hoses head towards the front headlights. The inside lights were missing and the hosed filled the openings. Seeing this beautiful car on this video reminded of that amazing car. Fantastic and rare 1964 Galaxy 500. Thanks for sharing.

Same. My father bought a '64 Galaxie 500 XL fastback/ 4bbl, 300HP, C6 as the family car. He, in turn, bought a new Sunbeam Tiger in '65 for himself, but that's another story. I was 10yrs old in '63 and my father (always a Ford family) had gotten me into cars / NASCAR. 1963 was first year of the Falcon Sprint, also. I loved that car! We'd go to Riverside Raceway every year for the Motor Trend 500, which was the first race of the year for new models. Dan Gurney ruled and won the race (5 of 6 races) from '63 to '67, as it was basically in his back yard. Parnelli Jones was the only one to beat Gurney during that period. "Race on Sundays, Sell on Mondays" was the motto back then. A good time to be alive. ;)

My neighbor drove a green 50 Ford when I was growing up. It sat for a few years. He took it totally apart put in all new rubber and did a very good restoration on it. Even though he had taken care of it over the years. Put a 70 Boss 302 in it. Not built, just a good dependable engine and left the original 3 on the tree of the 50. Cherry Red inside and out. He gave it to his son, that was my age when we went to High School. Drove it the first day of school and never drove it again. Claimed the bumper got a ding in it in the parking lot. I've thought long and hard about what happened. I figured out that some of the girls didn't take to it and he just lost all interest in it. What a loss. So worried about what everyone else thinks and not what your father had worked so hard to give him... Same neighbor parked a 56 Crown Vic in his basement back in the 70's as well... Had a fully restored 61 Starliner 390/300hp as well. Although like when I say restored, actually he could have just buffed the paint and made them look show room good. But the rubber in all of them after driving them for 25 years had to be changed. Suspension joints and window glass.

1960 thru '67 full size Fords are all awesome. I mean, you need every trick in the book to make a 4dr. shine but a hot enough engine flinging a car down the track counts for a lot. When i think of these cars i think how great the '63 is but then into my mind pops the 7 Litre '66. Of course next comes the under appreciated '60 with that wide, low one year body style.. Now in my present day home town is a beautiful black '61 or 2 406 convertible with turquoise interior. All these gorgeous cars don't make it a bit easier to pick a favorite.

I was at the BEACH HOP today here in New Zealand, and of the 1,000 plus cars there, I'd swear me and my 11 year old daughter Shelby saw between 40-50 Galaxies. Feel free to Google Beach Hop 2021 videos. I was surprised to see a '66 Falcon Ranchero, and a 2 door 67/68 Falcon as well; as all the Falc's here were 4 door. If you look at my avatar closely you can see a Rhino. That's because the Aussies exported Falcon GT's to South Africa, where they called them Fairmont GT's. Love that you are into old V8 FORD's mate, and that is one cool Galaxie !!
