Good transformation brother. Hope you don’t mind me asking but just wondering what you’re method is to price this one off’s is? I’m having a bit of aggro with it
@JayRockGroundsMaintenance3 жыл бұрын
Hi mate ! Thank you very much 😄 and thank you for commenting 🌱. I split the job down, walk the whole area and note down in sub headings what the client would like done: - drive cleared - Holly Trimmed - Astro De-Weeded - Buddleja reduced - Hedges Trimmed - Waste Taken Etc. Then underneath each heading I work out a rough time it will take and what I would price each individual job. ⬇️ Add them all up and that is my provisional quote (in this case I expected around 8 hours work) from there I ensure my quoting meets at least my daily rate of work or more and then I go from there. If I am ever unsure on timing I will add a 20% fudge factor to the time and price.

Lovely job done mate. One suggestion you may to consider is to cut the Buddleja dead flower heads off before you put the stems through the chipper. It’s quite an invasive species and when you chip the flowers you are mixing the seeds into the mulch that you’re then spreading around the garden. It’ll save you a job weeding come Spring time! Great vid though, really enjoyed the editing.

Hi pal! Thanks for tuning in, yes it’s a Forest Master 6.5hp manual start, they cost in the region of £500, great little chipper ! Going to drop a review on it next week 💪🏽🌱

Look like a Forest Master 6.5hp chipper. I have one, it’s a cracking little chipper for up to 2”/2.5” branches. Lift it in and out of the van can’t fault it. Be interested to hear what Jay has to say about it.

@@nigelgardiner8398 fantastic little machine so it is ! Got the last bit of filming to do on it over the next couple of days and then I’ll stick a review out next week💪🏽

@@JayRockGroundsMaintenance thanks buddy , thinking this might be handy on my domestic jobs especially when doing cutting back ! Seemed to take those branches no bother ! Look forward to the review

@@yorkshirehumbergroundsmain9536 that was my thinking exactly ! Clean ups and pruning work, can just go straight through the chipper and not have to worry so much about the waste. It’s taken it all well so far, got some bigger stuff to stick through I. The next few days and then the video will be out next week😄💪🏽

Three trees with dry branches should be remove n its eyesore n replace with some other plants.

All trees were planted by his late Father, he wants them there as long as possible, trees already have an accepted quote to be tidied up in January 😄

Awesome job mate. Just wondered what can you charge these days for a job like that? It was all in a day right?
@JayRockGroundsMaintenance3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jake ! Thank you for tuning in!💪🏽 It took 7 hours, I had to complete it over 2 separate days because of other commitments but this job was around the £300 mark 🙂🌱
@robertblount31433 жыл бұрын
So that's around about £40 per hour on this job?
@JayRockGroundsMaintenance3 жыл бұрын
@@robertblount3143 that’s right Robert, although this was priced as an overall job, so whether it took me 4 hours or 10 hours It would have been the same amount - this one was quoted well in my eyes 🙂🌱
@robertblount31433 жыл бұрын
For me at 7 hours would probably be charging around about £250 at the max. I am fully qualified done 20 years but there is a limit for me to be honest and make a great job but not over price. For me if it took me 4 hours and took £300 off them i would have a mask on and a stripey jumper on. You do a great job in your videos.
@JayRockGroundsMaintenance3 жыл бұрын
@@robertblount3143 totally understand that Robert but that’s the risk with pricing a fixed amount, if I had got the predicted hours wrong or if something was harder on the job than expected then it could have been a different story for me. Personally I charge £200pd, this had fuel equipment involved and waste take away so about £267 gross profit (pre taxed ). Thank you very much for your kind words 😄
