Taking a look around the old flats on Bucknall New Road in Hanley, Stoke On Trent

*****NOTICE! This is NOT a regular BLOKES FOM STOKE video! This is footage that was captured by Paul and a friend who recently revisited an old property where they used to live. It's for nostalgic purposes only and isn't a travel/Disney/Florida vlog*****
In the early 2000's, we lived in the flats on Bucknall New Road in Hanley.
There were three of us when we moved in and over the years, many people spent happy times within these walls. As always, life eventually makes people move on, but our memories of the time we spent here will be cherished forever.
At the start of 2023 we discovered that the flats were earmarked to be demolished and a friend made the brave move to ask the local council if we could gain access to the property one last time before the bulldozers moved in. The council gladly granted us this request which we were incredibly grateful for. We must point out that we entered the premises completely at our own risk and accepted full liability for any injury (which luckily we didn't need!)
It was like stepping back in to a timewarp. We were shocked to discover that much of the original decor was still there, especially our bright yellow kitchen along with some of the original carpet tiles. We also saw traces of the Barbie pink paint that our bathroom was coloured in, as well as the hole where our Disco ball was hung.
It was a special moment recapturing those happy memories and we hope that this small footage helps others to rediscover a little part of their past. Please leave a comment if you ever came to the property when we were living there! it would be great to share more of those happy times!

I’m 17 but when i was born we lived at 67 bucknall new road, was born in 2007 not sure when my mum moved in there but eventually we moved onto wellington terrace which is right next to the school across the road. I grew up in bucknall new road lots of memories👍🏼👍🏼

I played a drinking game , every time you said “Oh My God” I took a shot , I was rushed to the hospital in the first 2 minutes of the video with alcohol poisoning.
