That is crazy here in Calgary Canada they want 65,000 for a TRD sport premium so I walked across the street and got a 2024 Colorado ZR2 for 61,000 Toyota has lost their minds

Ive seen TRDOR in the $46k range without the TRD package. No inverter, no heated steeting wheel or seats. All things i have in my 2022 that i dont ever use. I guess you just pay more to get less nowadays but thats the one id probably look for if i were in the market for one.

In Pa. here I saw an SR 4WD for $40K which is ridiculous. I will say though that the SR does look really good for the 2024 model year. Also saw SR5 $47,500 ( cold weather package) and a couple of TRD Sports for $51k and $53k respectively. Prices are going to have to come down if they plan on selling a lot of them- just my opinion. The average person will have a hard time buying a $50K Tacoma along with an 8 or 9 % interest rate. And those are just the regular Iforce engines what's it going to be with the IforceMax editions? Also $65K Pros and $64K Trail Hunters. It's just a truck

30 total in my area. One dealer is listing $800 off. The $43K-$47K SR5s will need to be $40-$44K out-the-door respectively. Then Fed Chairman Jerome Powell can say inflation has been tamed and interest rates will come down. I would give those OTD numbers an additional few thousand if it had a V6 in it. (Notice the Supra offers a turbo 4 much less than the V6 turbo). Moreover, the Ford Rangers will soon offer 2.7L turbo 6's in the XLTs and Lariats. The midsize market is about to get interesting again.

Supra also has the BMW inline six turbo. Probably uses their 4 cylinder as well. I know they got the ZF 8 speed as well. Is a BMW for the most part with a Toyota body.

That’s because it’s not the same truck there’s three times the tech in new one and the safety measures that are massive wait to see the crash test on the new one compared to yours. Same thing happened with the tundra the 2021 went from the bottom of the list on NHTSA and insurance Institute crash test to the very best in the new one

@@jonathanratliff4780 Nice try but is still massively more then what Chevy and Ford offer. I mean I can go down to my dealer and buy a ZR 2 for 49K. The TRD pro will cost 15-20K more. Ranger raptor at 57K. Fully loaded Frontier Pro 4 X for around 50K. I understand about "the toyota tax" but they got to be somewhat on point with the segment on pricing. From what I see the interiors are cheap. I see a ton of hard plastics. Canyon's have some pretty fancy interiors for a lot less money. What I'm saying is people might switch brands if it means their payment will be 200-300 less a month. And that's what I'm hearing on the forums. Long term fan bois jumping ship.

Based on your research the SR 5 on average has increased by $10,000 over the previous model. This lends credence to what the “Toyota skeptics” are saying. Toyota has to pivot quickly! The company saw with the third generation that KZbin enthusiasts were putting tons on money on modifications and some one in the company possibly said how much can we get from these people. It would be interesting to see the sales figures later in the year.w

Seems a cheaply made truck to me. The Tundras are garbage full of quality control issues. The TGNA platform does not impress. And the tacos made in Mexico for around 10 cents to the dollar of assembling in the US. Economy expected to have another round of inflation which will likely turn to stagflation. These prices won't be sustainable. Especially since Toyota wants to increase produciton by 100K/year. Thats allot of expensive trucks.
