Toyota has always held a special place in the hearts of its customers and loyal fans. Durability, Reliability, and AFFORDABILITY are keys to the Heritage Toyota has laid out since its inception…. Today things appear to have fallen very far from what we were used to.. or are are we missing something??? What are your thoughts?

I'm a blue collar worker who just journeyed out and making 6 figures minimum, I was saving a massive down payment for the 2024 Tacoma and literally having dreams about it, deeply excited as I waited for over a year and wanted one so bad, the second they released the MASSIVE MSRP jump, I noped out... If I'm going to spend a minimum of 50k, not including the hybrid, I'd rather get a brand new F150 Powerboost that can tow double and comes with a 7.2 KW generator mode.. This is deeply depressing, the middle class is completely priced out from everything short of renting an apartment and driving a used economy car.

I feel you, my fellow blue-collar brother I, too, was excited about getting one of these for a long time Bout a year of waiting I was very skeptical about the 4cyl turbo But was willing to trust toyota I was finally ready to pull the trigger on a 2024 taco trd offroad So I went to preorder it The lowest the wanted was 55k Not even softex seats The only way to get those seats was to pay 8k more for a package The build they showed me was very basic It was practically an sr5 with a trd emblem After weeks and weeks of research I came to the conclusion that 50k+ for a 4cyl turbo made in mexico just isn't worth it So I ended up buying a honda Ridgeline trailsport and couldn't be happier I'm also completely over the new look of the tacoma

Good video. I bought my new 2022 Tacoma SR base model for $29,000 MSRP and the dealer got me a $500 instant rebate. The 2.7 4L with 6-speed will definitely outlast the new ones with turbos. And look what they did to the Camry, with hybrid only. Honda is the same, going to small turbocharged four cylinders with CVTs, and that's why I bailed on them. You are absolutely correct that this is mainly the fault of the Feds and the EPA with their insane regulations. But also the car makers are going nuts with all of the high tech garbage they are saddling us with, gizmos that are just more to go wrong. I couldn't imagine owning a Tesla with nothing but an iPad to control everything.

@@ryanfraley7113 You can help the environment without destroying peoples live, business, and the economy. The ones pushing this green at all costs agenda wont be hurt by it and many will profit. They don't give one diddly damn about the average person. They tried with the Covid fiasco and this is the next big push for domination.

People will think the price for the pro trd is the price of the Tacoma while there is the trd for $50000 and lower modals for $40000. Over priced but I do not see any truck or car new or used that is not over priced.

Dont forget the very high interest rates that brings these vehicles way too expensive. I dont know how much you need to earn per year to be able to afford this along with a roof over your head and food and utilities. Seriously.

If it makes you feel any better I was hoping to buy a 2024 Land Cruiser once it released in the UK, until they announced the pricing here a couple of days back 😂 Starts at the equivalent of $95,000, and over $100k for the First Edition! Ouch.

I too my 2022 Tacoma to the shop today and saws 24 TRD Sport with less equipment then my TRD Sport for $8,000 more then my 2022 was. So I am leaving Toyota for a Nissin Frontier wit a normally aspirated V-6.

Just rented a 24 trd offroad. Have it all week. Its a good little truck. Quicker than i thought. No gear hunting. That said, the engine noise screams 4cyl cheaper grade truck, while being 50-55k. No way I'd pay that much. Again, its a good little truck and it moves, its comfortable, stable, blah blah...but no, it should not be 50, 55k. Maybe 45k. Even that is rough, but fine, inflation. Not 55k.

To replace my 23 TRD Off Road, double cab, long bed with the Premium and Technology pkgs would cost $17K MORE in 24 over the MSRP for my 23. That Ridiculous and that’s where a fool parts with his money. The MSRP on my 23 including running boards and a Tri-Fold tonneau cover, premium and technology pkgs and a 6’ bed double cab the MSRP was $51,848. I paid $48K. To replace it today would cost $67K for a Tacoma ? HELL NO

This is why I bought a 2023 TRD Off Road premium for MSRP about a year ago. $46k OTD. I knew Toyota was going to get greedy with the 4th gen pricing. Prices for trucks are outrageous and I hope that DEEEEEEP discounts are coming soon because trucks are stacking up on dealers lots.
