My partner father passed away Wednesday he was from Scotland, since watching your vlogs we really want to do the North Coast 500, I was born in Scotland but moved down south aged 1, any tips or sites for help and advice would be greatly appreciated, we are looking at doing this next year, in memory of my father in law. hey, i moved into a cottage in february that was built in the 1750s!! it’s beautiful and it feels amazing that i’m living in a place with so much history! we have loads of wooden beams in the ceilings and walls and exposed brick walls and i just feel that the character you get in an old house is amazing, i literally LOVE it! so i would say definitely look for an old historical place to live. xx

After watching this video I am now sooooo desperate to go to Edinburgh and go see the Mary Queen of Scots castle I think it was like literally I've been saying half of the time omg I need to go there 😍 it's so amazing the fact that you literally "met" the Mary Queen of Scots cause its been left like that for 400 YEARS its so crazy 2 see that u have basically just stepped where she has stepped its just so amazing. I love Edinburgh! If you’re ever up there again you should check out Camera Obscura. It’s like an optical illusions place, I’ve never been but both times I went to Edinburgh we were meant to go but the first time we couldn’t find it as we were on the bus and the second time it was the festival and it was closed and we ran out of time as we were only there for the airport but definitely go and vlog it if you’re able to. I think the girls would love it!!

I went 6 years ago to visit Edinburgh and its attraction (eg. Holyrood house and Britannia boat) and I can say it has to be one of my most favourite places as the attractions are so interesting and Edinburgh itself is beautiful!

If u enjoy things about history u would love Inveraray because there is Inveraray jail and that is very similar to the castle and u can also go into Inveraray castle and I luckily got to meet the duke and duchess of Argyll and there is so many interesting things!

Alot of English are buying Chateaux castles in France because it's cheaper than buying homes in England. You should consider that. You could move your whole family and grandparents into a chateaux. Check out videos on Chateaux de Lalande

We were just there. Lochleven is now closed to the public. It is seriously deteriorating and is dangerous to sightseers. I’m hoping to hear there is a project to renovate/repair because it is a pivotal place in history.

if you are interested in Mary Queen of Scots and you are in Jedburgh, check out Mary Queen of Scots House where she stayed. Further on from that in a place called Newcastleton there is a castle called Hermitage Castle where mary travelled 25 miles to see the wounded Bothwell. Its a very sinister and daunting looking castle. The story of this is in mary queen of scots house a long with some of the items she lost on the journey to hermitage a long with one of her shoes.

I went to Edinburgh 2 years ago. Lots of good places to visit. You should eat in the Elephant Cafe and go to the Museum Context Shop. Lots of cool Harry Potter places to visit 😀

Your genuine enthusiasm is enough to make me want to go and visit these historical attractions. I think the price for admission for a family was actually really reasonable and if you can revisit within 12 months that is brilliant. The interactive tour guide seemed like it would keep the most surly of children or husbands amused and interested as well. Fantastic. I do hope you guys decide to do another tour somewhere in the UK. I live a little further north than you do and although I have visited London a few times, and odd little trips to more Midlands and Wales, I haven't ever been to Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Dorset areas. I guess though those areas do get very busy in the Summer months. But I think Wales has some awesome views, I was actually quite taken aback when I visited and the contrasting scenery and variety of landscapes was beautiful. Maybe you should do a vote on social media from a few itinaries if your own choosing... I think this holiday vlog has gone down really well with your viewers

Im so glad you got to go in Holyrood and take video. When I was there in 2006 the Queen was there so it was closed. Im glad I got a glimpse of the inside, it looks so amazing!
