Thank you for sharing your trails and tribulations. Makes the world seem smaller, much more warmer and less lonely. We are our worst supporter- rendering the worst, when we have good things right in front of us. You have found your inner strength when so many have not. Hope you find pride in that because I am proud and impressed by your choices and how far you’ve come. Plus sharing it with others. Know you are never alone. Take care.

Your visiting your past reminded me of the times i revisited places from my past. Nothing looked the same. Especially when i went up to the door of my childhood home. What a shocker. I'm pretty much done trying to go back and physically visit those places I've been. Im just going to remember them as i see them in my mind. Your special place was beautiful.

Thank you for taking us along with you as you relieved memories of your past. A very beautiful place, do all you can to help preserve it for future generations to enjoy. I was born and raised here in the Appalachian mountains of East Tennessee. As I tried to look around in your surroundings, it brought back memories of my home here growing up. Unfortunately, the timber industry has destroyed so much. Also, tourism, " side by side and four wheeling," has also begun leaving a mark here. Peace out and enjoy your life.

Wow what a wonderful video! My story parallels yours in so many ways and it was so lovely to hear a bit more about you! Currently in MN at the family cabin where a lot of my own trauma took place, and even tho I've been on my healing journey for yrs there is always more to self discovery than imagined at the outset. Living w my 90 y.o. dad has been cathartic to say the least; but I'm so glad my recovery work has made it possible for me to live in a spirit of love and forgiveness rather than resentment and bitterness. Doing the work always pays off! And with unimaginably positive dividends for me and everyone else whose lives touch mine. It is looking like I am going to be at the cabin till my dad passes; I am wkg to pay off the last of my foolish debt acquired in the throws of consumerism; an addiction that has prevented me from saving any $ for retirement until now at age 61! So, I'm slogging thru what will hopefully b my last yr of 'forced' (self imposed) labor and taking a break from traveling in my Van to accomplish my dream of financial freedom now that I've finally acquired some financial wisdom. I so hope we can meet up along the road somewhere sometime! You have been such an encouragement and inspiration to me and you have inspired me to keep trying so many times! Foxy sends wags to Joey!

Oh, Chantell! How beautiful it is there. It looks like a secret garden. I'm sorry Joey had to stay behind, but I understand. My little Doxie is 14 now and has back problems. As much as he wants to be everywhere I am, I have to protect him from himself sometimes and leave him home. He still thinks he's a young pup, but would wear out quickly. I'm sorry you had to go through so much, but am so proud of you for the things you've accomplished so far. You are a totally different person, and you seem to enjoy your life now. I'm glad you have Joey to keep you company. Be safe out there. My thoughts are always with you. I'm trying to find a reliable van, and then I may ask you where all the beautiful places are so I can take my little buddy. I hope you've written them all down.

The only thing better than a walk in the woods is a day at the beach! Loved this walk through that forest. Glad you sobered up, so many never do, I dated an addict for nearly 10yrs...he still wasn't clean when I finally let him go. Hope you heal up from your loss soon and get back to doing what you love best! And yea, I tried college several times too...graphic design, psychology, wellness coaching (finished, got the certification...not that I can do much w/it), psychology again and graphic design once again. Several reasons why I finally just stopped trying and now i'm just doing youtube and working in a call center...hoping to eventually do van life f/t...just like you!

You have proved you can do anything you set your mind to. I'm so happy for you. I'm watching another lady on the channel "Wayward Abode". She has spent her lifetime learning to understand and deal with an illness that has controlled her life. Her name is Birdie. She is so much fun to watch. She is also a vanlifer.
