I heard that since the pallet fork just swings back and forth that lube is not to be used and that it could slow the performance . Keep it up Your still learning takes time to get real good at watch making.

Yes, the lubrication went solid after all those years. I have another key wind watch that when I went to let down the mainspring I did not have to keep a key on the winding arbor. I just held the click back and it slowly unwound. I thought it was funny. I didn't take that one apart yet so maybe I will make a video of that phenomenon.

I have a 29670 model. I don't have much experience with pocket watches. In order to regulate I see the two metal pieces by the regulator, one between the F and S and one to the left. How do I adjust it? Thanks

The metal piece between the F and S is the one you move. If you move the metal piece towards the F the watch will run faster. If you move it towards the S it will go slower. At first move it a little bit to see what the change will be.

for dials with chipped porcelin, I use white automotive paint which does an outstanding job.

I will have to try that. Do you use the touch up paint that comes in the little bottle?

I think I paid 100 USD. After looking that watch over, I think I paid too much. At least the case is silver.
