Taking Back Roads to Town [Driftless Region Wisconsin] P1

A back roads trip! Today was VERY HOT again, so Natalie, Izzy, and I ran to town to pick up some supplies needed to wrap-up the electrical on the breezeway project.

The heat was insane again today, so Natalie, Izzy, and I decided to head to town for some of the things needed to continue on the addition project -- specifically the wire and breakers needed to connect the sub-panel to the entrance panel. Izzy was very good (for a border collie) in Home Depot! The trip took us over 5 big ridges/hollows and around two major construction zones, but we finally made it!! On the way back we picked up some gypsum at the co-op for the hard clay areas on our new roads and on the new grassy area along the road by the bur oak trees.

Loved it ! Great driving on those clean well kept roads. Glad you didn't buy in the flood zone. Extremely humid weather we had today, also. I was inside cleaning to keep cool around the water!

Can't get over how green it is...what is the annual amount of precipitation you receive at your homestead? Thanks for sharing a look at the countryside!

You're welcome utgrousehunter! We get about 34" according to the weather service, but they are almost never correct 🤔 The area is very fertile and the clay holds the moisture so plants rarely go without water in this area!
