Hot take, but I think this is their best record. From the actual mix, production, lyrics, songwriting, it being the best Adam has sounded on record, and how dope a live show the band put on at this era. It’s a shame it’s looked over so much. New Again is an awesome album. The songs do not sound like any other band and they ARE unique. You are crazy if you think different.

I will never understand why New Again was received so poorly. I'm the biggest TBS fan as the next person - I thought Louder Now was their peak and LN, WYWTB and TAYF were their best albums - but why all the hate on New Again? It had plenty of great songs. The guitar work was very well done, and Fazzi sung a lot better than people gave him credit for (probably the best overall singer TBS had, with Fred *fitting* the best IMO). In my opinion, New Again is actually more diverse than the new record.

Because it's not TBS and none of their albums after Fred left haven't ever been the same. It's like going out to a restaurant and ordering steak and a beer, and they bring you a hamburger and ginger-ale. It might be some people's jam, but it's not what made you fall in love with steak with beer.

As someone commenting a decade into the future (not under the influence, lol), I just saw TBS last weekend and they performed Everything Must Go from New Again! So it’s still being played in some form. But I agree with you, Fazzi is the best singer, their Orensanz album really highlighted that. Shame he and the bassist left after that, but Fazzi is still making great music.

Holy crap. I’ve been looking for this music video since I was like 11 or 12. I remember watching it on TV and completely blanked on the band/song name. I only found it because I was looking at all the videos from this band because the something in the set in cute without the e just felt so similar (I don’t even know how, I guess the way the amps are set up or the spacing or something, I honestly have no clue since they’re totally different videos).
