My buddies parents bought a 65" HD TV, and then couldn't watch anything in HD because NOTHING was broadcast in HD back then. The rare DVD was 720. In 2006, I was 17. Up the street from my house is where hang gliders jumped off the cliff sides and fly over the cities below... I would walk up there and sit on the hill... And look at this great expanse. Conflicted with likely teenage angst and dreaming of what my life could be. And on my tiny little black iPod .. I'd play this and watch people literally run down the face of cliffs facing their fears and jump off and the rocket into the skies. And I admire how free they looked while flying.... I am 35 now. And when I close my eyes and I hear this song. I still remember the wind on my face and watching them fly. back then, I was conflicted with first new love... And now I visit this song...to remember .. Old love... It all comes full circle.

@MyAcresOfDiamonds8 жыл бұрын
yeah, music has really helped me through life. i can just feel their passion and i don't feel alone with my feelings anymore, and suddenly everything is okay. and i think that's why most musicians play, just looking for a release, to work through their own battles, and they end up helping everyone else through their own trials in life. It''s an amazing thing. and TBS represents that time in our lives when we had so much 'angst' like you said.

15 years ago.. what the heck.. lol… I’m so freaking proud to have been a part of this era and this music. It’s hard to imagine what it will sound like to a young kid in another 15 years from now, when it’ll be “oldies”- but I’m inclined to think it’s gonna sound damn cool!! 😎 When this album came out, I was blasting it in my red Volkswagen Jetta with beige leather interior and a sunroof, and life was sweet. Has just gotten my first apartment, was going to college… man how time flies!

Those were great years. Panic! At the Disco, AFI, My Chemical Romance, and many other amazing bands dominated the radio, television, etc. MySpace was way better than Facebook with you getting to edit profiles like crazy. The internet was just getting big. I was lucky to grow up in those times.

I like this song. I love how every diffrent era of kids/ teens love and miss and nostalggggg over their definitive era... we did it, you'll do it, your doin it! Whether your 49 like me and lived the skate punk life or if your late 30s and were into this emo get up etc etc... anyone that associated with, even if only vaguely, a particular sub genre- then the memories seem to be more nostalgic than those who just grew up doin nothin in particular.

I feel like younger generations are going to wonder why our music videos are so blurring. I can't tell if I'm going blind or if it's a low quality.
@maxadam24475 жыл бұрын
Videos that have been on KZbin for a long time actually have degraded in quality. KZbin has used multiple different video stream formats, and these all use lossy compression, which makes the files smaller while making a small trade-off for video quality. Normally this isn't an issue, but after a few different transcodes, things start to get fuzzy. Really we can only hope that internet archivists have saved our best content to reupload later, or some of these will slowly decay to gif quality.

@heiwajimas5 жыл бұрын
Actually, it's just this upload of the video that's in shit quality. Back then KZbin couldn't carry the best quality...there's other, newer uploads of this video that are in better quality. Around this time and earlier the videos were made for MTV, Fuse, etc and not for KZbin.

Man I LOVED take back Sunday . I still but but the love I had for this band was insane back then . It was like an anthem for a certain era of my life. Wow. The emotions that come from listening to this band that come flooding in from the past ! Overwhelming a bit . I wish I could go back sometimes! lol but don’t we all. The young love , the mistakes , the curiosity I had with life and the adventure ! I know it’s still there but it was a different feeling back then .

Lyrics: You've got this new head filled up with smoke And I got my veins all tangled close To the jukebox bars you frequent The safest place to hide A long night spent with your most obvious weakness You start shaking at the thought You are everything I want 'Cause you are everything I'm not And we lay, we lay together just not Too close, too close (hHow close is close enough?) We lay, we lay together just not Too close, too close I just wanna break you down so badly Well, I trip over everything you say I just wanna break you down so badly In the worst way My inarticulate, store-bought Hangover hobby kit, it talks And it says, "you, oh, you are so cool" "Scissor-shaped across the bed" "You are red, violent red" You hollow out my hungry eyes You hollow out my hungry eyes And we lay, we lay together just not Too close, too close (how close is close enough?) We lay, we lay together just not Too close, too close I just wanna break you down so badly Well, I trip over everything you say Well, I just wanna break you down so badly In the worst way I just wanna break you down so badly Well, I trip over everything you say I just wanna break you down so badly In the worst way (worst way) I'm gonna make damn sure That you can't ever leave No, you won't ever get too far from me You won't ever get too far from me I'll make damn sure That you can't ever leave No, you won't ever get too far from me You won't ever get too far from me You won't ever get too far from me (ever get too far) You won't ever get too far I just wanna break you down so badly Well, I trip over everything you say Well, I just wanna break you down so badly In the worst way (worst way) I'm gonna make damn sure I just wanna break you down so badly I just wanna break you down so badly In the worst way (worst way)
