If you don’t take care of yourself you’re in no condition to help others. I work in the caregiving field taking care of elderly housebound clients. Families are often desperate for help and when they find somebody they can rely upon sometimes they tend to unconsciously push for more. I know that it’s not done in a selfish or malicious way but I have done my best to professionally talk to them about how I need to take time to reboot and refresh so I am in the best condition possible to provide top level care for their loved ones. If I don’t take that time for myself I’m in no shape or condition to be the best caregiver I can be for their loved ones.

I know exactly what Joyce is saying , as a single mom of now an 2 @ 18 year old , I worked my butt to no end to take care of (them) forgetting myself! It wasn’t until 1 morning I could not get up I literally had the pray my body to get up & and get to the shower then doctor! The doctor simply said you have to give up 1 of those jobs or you will need a blood transfusion soon!!!!!! Scared me straight! God had spoken. PERIOD

God is so good and so loving, my birthday is tomorrow and i have been debating with myself about going to get my nails and eyelashes done as a gift to myself, but im like that's vain you shouldn't be wanting or thinking about that stuff you are fine the way you are and you shouldn't be worried about outward appearance but about whats in your heart. But honestly it does affect the way i feel inside because I love those things they make me happy like makeup and hair and stuff like that, I just want to feel pretty on my birthday but i felt so convicted about it and I started asking God about how does He feel about me wanting those things and this pops up. Ill take this as a sign that it's ok and He wants me to feel pretty too 😌🙏💘

Thank you so much for everything you, Joyce, and everyone in your ministry has done for me. I'm a survivor of a decade of domestic violence, recovered closet alcoholic and mother of a special needs child. I reached the point of no hope and the only thing keeping me from ending my life was my daughters needing me. You helped me reconnect with the God I had walked away from because my life was so hard, frustrating and painful. I'm so happy to say that I do love and enjoy my everyday life now. I have many daily trials and outsiders trying to steal my joy but I start every single day listening to you. I talk to God throughout the day and thank Him for even the smallest blessings like finding something in the pantry that I thought was gone. Now that I'm going through my transition. I'm changing my clothes style and so on. Trying to be more active and out going and assertive I find that the people I use to hang with and they see me. They notice the change and then the turn my positive into a negative. So I can only say to them. Im doing it for myself and God. They don't come around anymore which is a blessing. I do feel guilty if I buy something small for myself. Always thinking what if something should come up and I need that money for an emergency.🤔🤔🤔🤔💞💞💞💞 God say it's ok to be kind to yourself cuz he know your worth it. 💅💅💅💅💅I lost myself in my younger years doing everyone but myself. I'm now getting to know who I was meant to be.🤔🤔🤔
