That meal looks so good! I hope you feel better soon, and it doesn’t last for a few weeks like the doc said it could!

Awe. Feel better soon. I turned my heat on this afternoon. I was cold and could not get warm. I love Chef Boy R Dee. Not everyday but once in a while. I like Beanie Weanies, too. Vienna sausages, yuck. If the end is near Im running outside into the open and telling Jesus to take home. I'm not wanting to stick around for no apocalypse.

Hi Roxanne! 👋 Sorry you’re not feeling well. The carpet removal and installation probably didn’t help with the dust flying around, and the new carpet smell can be pretty strong! Ohhh yummy! The rice and beans do look delicious! Take care and try not to over do! 🙋♀️😘

@diannewelch8380 thanks Dianne. I didn't think about that, but you could be right about the carpets

I'm so sorry to hear you're sick now. But yes, that apparently is going around all over the country. Or at least the part West of the Mississippi. As you know I went recently on a longish trip. It was a cruise up in Alaska, and it was a huge ship, so there were many people from all over the country, and a few from other countries. Anyway, it began in Aug. 28th, and with 4 days on land at the end, we got home very early AM, Sept 9th. All during the trip, I kept hearing people talk about a really bad cold like illness they or their spouse was dealing with. I, of course, was thinking likely that word we're not supposed to say here. But not sure if these people had tested or what, but they seemed to not think it was that. Well, the last couple of days of our trip, my husband starting feeling just like you described-itchy throat, congestion and cough. The day after we got back he was feeling worse, but tested negative. He gave it a couple more days then went to a walk-in clinic. Since he'd tested negative, I think 3 times, they didn't test for that, but for RSV (which we've had shots for), and strepthroat. All of that was negative as well., so they also said, just a virus, and pretty much the treatment you're doing. He was pretty wrungout feeling for several more days. I think it must have been new here, because they gave him no duration. But like they told you, it did take about 3 weeks for him to feel more or less ok. Still does have the lingering cough, now and then, but mostly gone. He's not one to usually feel bad for too long, so this is a bad one. Here's the weird part, though. We were pretty much the same place most of the time on the trip. And I went ahead and slept next to him, still, once we were home, thinking I'd already been thoroughly exposed, so probably inevitable I'd get it. I'm normally sup 20:06 er prone to anything respiratory. But, oddly, enough, I've never yet come down with it! And I think I would have by now! So yay, I guess, just surprised! 😅 But yes, sounds like you have exactly the same thing. And yes, it does hang around awhile. But the good news is even if it may feel like you won't, it does go away eventually! 😊 Your meal looked yummy, and yes, real comfort food! Hope you start feeling some better very soon. It kind of came and went a few times for my husband. Good luck!!
