Great job as always! Motivations ... An act of kindness , a smile a gesture spread in ways you never imagine. Showing someone how you do things can save someone time. Showing someone that something doesnt always go perfect but you persevere. What you do could fix visibility, allow someone to get to work without going out in the road and, fix drainage or make it safer. I am 78 now, and nothing is thoroughly done anymore. But back when I was still in the workforce, I kept up with working full-time and keeping a home by rewarding myself with oil painting when all the work was done. There is a guy, Mack, from Midwest Magic Cleaning I think. He cleans, usually house interiors, and has gone to helping people struggling with catastrophes. As an adult he found he had things as Autism and a wife with ADHD, and had to learn how to deal with the phenomena. He can now aid people in organizing, sorting, cleaning, without making them mentally worse or feel ashamed. He did a very good video one day talking about breaking projects down into a doable size. What you can face. It could be a whole room, but it might be a table top, or even a portion of one. I have found this to be very useful. For me, noting a tendency in outdoor projects that look reasonable but then starting to find variables that make it harder than expected, picking a small area to get "done" at a time really helps. A huge property, all edged...you see little result...all mowed...still a big trudge, but if you do a walkway, a driveway...some portion and work through whatever layers of steps are needed, it looks great when done and the motivation to complete can be more easily kept. Sean, of Midlife Stockman employs that a lot. He tackles big backlogs and will do something like blow a section off mid-way, to have the visual encouragement of the sight of progress accomplished. He'll tell the viewers that, and sometimes that he needs a small rest break or a snack and that gives him a boost to go on. (Everyone can have their own style in doing work. You know you work to do good work and for good values and those basically have to be your foundations, however winds blow.) Very regretfully, the level of mental illness in our society has risen sharply and practical education dropped. I smiled today at seeing someone's observation, "Don't argue with someone else's demons."

Personally, I would say to provide for my family by being a workaholic. Which in itself is not a bad thing. But in my case, I took it to the extreme and missed a tremendous amount of family time. Unfortunately, I cannot get that time back.

Please be careful on these busy roads. We just had a cop of 30 years on the force to be hit and killed by a car. He was directing traffic for a Church function. Drivers go way to fast and have a lot on their mind these days and just do not pay attention. Your life is not worth having the edge perfect. You did a great job and it looked so much better. As for what gets me going is my Prayer time with God. We just have to hang in there and let God handle everything. Pray for strength in all we do.
