When I told Tiffany we decided we would let him know we are legit when the job was finished by asking him where can we send the business receipt just in case he need to claim it on taxes or something. It mattered to erase whatever he assumed about us/me/the business.

As a tax accountant you are doing the correct, by depositing the money in your bank account and v reporting the sale. The IRS is not dumb, they watch these KZbin videos as well. You don't want to give them an excuse to take a closer look at your return. Some people think that if they are going to pay you in cash they can get a discount on your fee. I like watching you trim shrubs you have a good eye on the trim.

I guess the guy down the street was doing neighborhood watch and seeing what you were doing. The owner of the yard you did was insinuating by him giving you cash for the job that you he new how it goes (saying you did not turn it in on your taxes) Well perfect opportunity to inform him you are a honest man and a Christian and you turn all your jobs (money) in on your taxes. I heard him say I'm a business man too and I know how it goes. Difference, your honest and he's not. Good job on the yard. Insinuating has a word sin in it.

Well granted the guy did warn you and your fault for not moving your trailer, however, I still would have let him know...like " hey man, you were right about breaking my weed whacker especially knowing I just bought it " and sadly walk away...maybe he might have compensated you for at least a part of it... that would have been the right thing to do on his part...the other guy sounds like he does a lot of shady deals and thinks everyone else does too when he said he would pay you under the table, and not paying what you are worth, he is just a horses patooty and most likely racist
