Probably some of the toughest decisions I've had to make in video games was what items to bring with you when taking a long trip in the long dark.

The revolver has made my life so much better. Obviously matches are enough to survive wolfes but i just need that extra feeling of protection adn being able to kill adeer and bear. Deer in the head and bear just anywhere and sleep outside. Unlimited food one hit each. I can stop carrying the rifle and have those stationary;) I never made the interloper switch im a permanent stalker;)

I always come over-prepared and just deal with the slow walking speed lol. I’ll sit around 55 KG since I can still sprint and I have the additional 15KG cus of the Technical Pack, Moose Satchel and Well Fed Bonus. You can comfortably carry 55 KG for the most part and still have the ability to sprint.

Blackrock is all sorts of wild. Enjoying it a lot so far. I started a Voyageur run there to get a feel for it, and man, it kinda feels like learning the game over again. What I've learned is that spray cans are actually *really really useful* on Blackrock, especially for navigating the prison. It becomes downright labyrinthine, and it's not obvious what doors you can and can't open (as I'm sure you've noticed.) So I just spray "Avoid Direction" markers on any doors that don't actually do anything.

The bear in the prison nearly ended my run. Scared as hell.

@@yollarbenibekler Ohhhh man yeah. Once you can figure out how to block him off with the fence door, he's basically free tho

I grossly underestimated how long the journey was going to be lol, I’m used to the transition zones being really short, wish I’d brought a bit more gear but so far I’m doing okay. Lots to loot in the transition zone too.

respect to your patience collect so many items and played so many hours in this run! but in my opinion the game long dark really startet at the point you beginn played pilgrim runs. thats survivel, fun and challenge to me. no disrespect at this point but i think you should also try played the hard mode. i still played this game after years and i love it!

Timberwolves are tough to deal with, even on Voyager. I've used a lot of ammo so far because they just keep respawning and marine flares really don't seem to work that well. Even hitting one with the revolver or rifle doesn't lower their morale very much. It really helps having the bearskin bedroll so that you can safely sleep in cars, and killing the one howling as they start to attack is probably the best option. Killing one really fast really helps. In Bleak Inlet there is a lot of open space so you can keep an eye out and avoid them. Plus, they seemed to stop respawning after a while. Blackrock, however, they just keep coming. Leaving one gut inside of a Timberwolf carcass tends to buy you some time, but it's not much. I can only imagine dealing with them on Interloper without guns and before crafting a bow.
