Yes, exactly the flickering of the needle. Learned something again after years. The position with the neutral position, ho ho ho ... had that at the very beginning, my first thought was, broken, I only had the Humvee 2 months ... :-)

I would get rid of those 6TL batteries and use Interstate or Duracell American made batteries. I used to use Optima batteries with the 6TL adapter, but I have had issues with them since they moved production to Mexico. I also have a buddy that makes rock sliders/ rocker guards at a good price for the hummer. We redesigned them and they look and work great and go from the front wheel well to the back wheel well.

The voltage converter is key. I've got a 36v golf cart and wire all the lights radio ect. Most people use a single battery it fails first.

Cool thing about em, is that they can be configured how ever you like it. They all have 4 seats, the 2 doors just have the rear seats covered. If you didn't know :)

Hey Dakota, you should look into your voltmeter, it shouldnt be flickering back and forth. It should start off pretty low then pop back up a few seconds after startup.

ProDiiGy its because of the glowplugs turning on and off for the first 30 seconds after a cold startup, happens with every military Humvee.

Maybe yours is different, i have researched it and talked to many others about it and they told me it is completely normal for these on a cold engine as the glow plugs cycle on and off.

Sid Reyes sweet man! & basically just got a Montana or vermont title and then went down to the tag office and got a tag for it. I have two humvees coming next week that I will be selling. I'll be posting vids of them once they come in.

8/10,that would be a no,700-730 Hours is when Military Vehicles get a Overhaul,so between that time range until they eventually get sold for profit,the Numbers stay the way ever since a Rebuild,and sometimes they even replace the Meters on them,so you have no true idea as to how much the truck truely has.

Govplanet.com and Govliquidation.com are the places to look,some of the M998's are Slantbacks and some Variants are just Bed/Cargo Canvas,finding the Doors should not be hard at all,although a good amount of HMMWV's have Canvas Doors & Roofs,you should find Hard Doors at a right price.

It needs to be Registered and have a License Plate,I have driven some of the ones I have owned on the highways,with a 55 MPH max,and it's the same way with the Deuce & A Half and 5 Ton.
